2020 Player Reviews: #25 Tom McDonald
When you double the McDonald brothers footy IQ and add 10 you have Charlie Spargo's footy IQ. The older brother has been playing with a sense of entitlement for too long. Ridiculous contract on the back of one good season. Now we're lumbered with it.

2020 Player Reviews: #26 Sam Weideman
He's 23 for goodness sake and been learning his craft at this level in an AFL team that's not exactly crash-hot in the forward delivery/spreading department. He's all upside for me especially if we manage to create a restructured forward set-up this trade period. He'll learn (and grow) every year we hope. A definite keeper for mine. Not every successful forward needs to play like Barry Hall.

Woewodin Opens Up
The Woey article reminds me of another MFC Brownlow winner, Willo, aka Brian Wilson. The only player to have won the Brownlow Medal at his third club and that at the age of twenty! 1982 was his first season at the Demons and he nailed it. I was fortunate enough to see both of them run the G ragged on numerous occasions. Scott West may have been a bit stiff but that's the Charlie and both Woey and Willo deserved their gongs.

Hassa Mann Turns 80
I was watching from the fence near the half-forward flank right behind him. Unfortunately I'd run out of torn-up telephone directories to toss in the air when Hassa goaled.

Endurance the Key for Baker
I'm a fan. (Sometimes you just get a hunch, hopefully right this time). If he gets over the injury niggles and, as Soup said, has an uninterrupted pre-season, he could own a wing and fast become a supporter favourite. He's young with a lot of upside. Good luck to him.

Viney Signs Until 2025
Well for starters that's three needs not two. Refine his skills, work on delivery and grow a football brain in the heat of things. And he got 5 years. If he can become a nasty back-pocket player I'll take it.

Viney Signs Until 2025
Or he'd go okay in the ring too. Famechon, Rose, Viney. Not sure of the weight (bantam/welter etc) but I'd back him to last the distance. And that's what we've gone for.

Brownlow betting market.
The current market on TAB has Lachie Neale as the red-hot favourite. Pretty much unbackable at the odds. I didn't see much of him this year but he must have had a pearler. Second in line is our current favourite son, one Christian Petracca. $7.00 the win; $2.00 top 3; $1.30 top 5; $1.12 top 10. Any chance of an upset?

Life in Australia - Melbourne 1966
It's definitely 1964 footy. We played Collingwood twice. 2nd semi-final Demons134 def Pies 45. Attendance 93,010. Grand Final Demons 64 def Pies 60. Attendance 102,471. I'm leaning towards the semi although as a 13 year old at the time it's a hazy memory. Some of the other footage may well pre-date 1964 or be a year or so later.

Life in Australia - Melbourne 1966
Came across this beauty from the National Film & Sound Archive while researching something else. First 40 seconds will give us all a glimpse of past glories. I was lucky enough as a young kid to be there and in those days took premierships for granted. How times have changed. The rest of the promotional film is well worth watching if you'd like to time-warp back to the sixties in Melbourne. https://youtu.be/TC7D5T_m_-k

CHANGES: Rd 14 vs St Kilda
No need to take the risk as you say Uncle. By the way, here's a product suggestion to keep the vassals on the Manor under control if things go pear shaped.

The Breaking of Nathan Jones
I'm not sure that any club, serious about success, would honour long-term service by granting a player extra games to reach a milestone next year unless they can do their job and carry their weight. The jury is definitely out for me.

The Breaking of Nathan Jones
Clumsy precis of what others have already posted. Anything original?

All The Goals.
Even with a close loss, and especially a win, I look forward to viewing All The Goals to relive those moments when we actually got things sort of right. Usually there's a five minute reel or so, give or take. I think I've never seen one run 1.18 minutes.

CHANGES: Rd 08 vs Brisbane
TMac would make a good trade to Hawthorn to be with his other ex-teammates. He should now be battling his brother for a possie in the backline. His days as a key forward are behind him. Look to the future.

Goodwin shows some emotion...finally
Great win. Unfortunately I can't get passed the first three minutes of any presser/interview with Goodwin win or lose. Who knows? He may turn out to be a great coach. But hearing him talk? Rather have a tooth extracted.

Also highly recommended is The Young Offenders on Netflix. Irish lads on a mad mission.

Lockdown Watchlists (DVD/Blu-ray/NetFlix etc)
You want a laugh? Trailer Park Boys is my go to series on Netflix in these dire times. Saw it years ago and pi**ed myself laughing. Now rediscovered it and now up to watching season 12 .

I was about to post the same observation until I read yours JB. From my experience it's not as silly as it first sounds.

TEAM: Rd 03 vs Essendon
I'm interested to know who exactly comprises our current match day selection committee 2020 Covid-19. (I may have missed it along the way but I'm not wasting time trawling back).
