Yep, well said Gorg. I don't actually believe it but I did want to stir up a bit of late Thursday afternoon ruckus. Very often triple teamed, especially when they played 3 up front. You had to because you'd be worrying about about the interior and outside contain, he could destroy you both ways, his speed off the mark just made him that special. Equally effective in a 3-4 or 4-3, DT or DE? Who cares, he was damn good. I do rate Chris Jones extremely highly. I don't think they win the SB this year without him (still pains me to say anything about this game).

Training Ground?
Heck of a resume Mr Leg, couldn't be a better placed person to get perspective on this from. Are we also allowed to know what years you were a MHSOB? And thanks for the tip this Sat.

On a scale of 1-10 if I said that Chris Jones was challenging that mantle how mad would you be? 😝

2025 make or break year
No-where near enough credit. When you start a season the way they did with 2 wins in the first 9 games, you really need everything to go right from there and to have that happen you need a full selection at your disposal. The Lions were really flirting the boundaries of what was possible. And that finals series was one for the ages.

Welcome back to Demonland: Tayla Harris
I'm happy it didn't go through. Tayla stays, Hawthorn can please themselves.

Farewell Judd McVee
I wish I could provide a good answer but sometimes things just come up in my mind and they just fit. On reflection of how the aspects of this random brainwave came about I can only think of two possibilities: - Dirk Diggler - Dutch swimming teacher I had as a kid named Dirk, with a similar curl in the hair.

Come on Roy! I can usually count on your support! 🙂

Farewell Judd McVee
Felt like we got a solid couple of weeks without threads like this turning to watered down crud. C'est la vie.

Farewell Judd McVee
Abe Lincoln's favourite! It's a wise method and very useful. I think most folk these days are too impatient or too addicted to the dopamine hit that comes from pushing a 'post' button. I wish I was joking but I fully believe that. Things are often shoot first, ask questions later.

The Roy George Thread
This guy gives me an Aaron Davey at Port Melbourne vibe. But don't listen to me because I'm usually wrong about everything.

Farewell Judd McVee
It's definitely sharing but no real biggie? If he said too much about Judd's contract negotiations then I'd be worried!

Just awful and not a harsh request either, you have one job on special teams and a bare minimum requirement is knowing the rules. Not sure what Bland was thinking on the TD catch to Chase either. Gave up the outside contain so easily. At very least make him go outside, if he scores that way then well done but to cut back in and take it to the house? Disappointing way to lose the game.

Every club needs a Tayla Harris. Hope she stays.

While it's my job to hate on the Rams it was impossible to hate on their performance, they were incredible and every bit a playoff side in that game. I do wonder where they would be if Nacua had been healthy all season, he was everywhere. I think they can win the division I'm convinced now. A bloopie over us this Fri and they're on their way!

Does Johnson have much work to do to get up to speed on the fitness side DeeSpencer?

PRESEASON TRAINING: Friday 6th December 2024
Yep, I'd like to know if Sharp could realistically be in the mix for a wing spot.

Exactly right Gonzo, they can come and go like comets. The greatest RB of all time Jim Brown played 8 seasons. Barry Sanders 9, Terrell Davis 6 etc. I know there's longer term examples but it is a churn and burn lifestyle.
