Farewell Alex Neal-Bullen
I don't think we'd play hardball either, what's the point? I'd see it as a Peter Walsh to Port scenario. I do wonder if he can adapt to another side's system easily as he's just been so perfect for ours.

When you knew 2024 was over?
In December I thought top 4 was out of the question. After KB I thought that finals were out of the question.

Jack Macrae
In what way would you say his kicking skills are excellent? Macrae's MO has always been as an accumulator that struggled with foot skills and especially penetration in his kicking. Matthew Lloyd once said about how when he came to the club he had to re-learn how to kick off a witches hat because his ball drop was that high. He's improved quite a bit over time but He's probably as good a field kick as Oliver.

I haven't felt this bad about leadership going out the door since Junior Mac.

The 2024 Positives Thread
One positive is that so many are positive in the Nibbler trade thread and wish him the best.

Farewell Alex Neal-Bullen
Something is not right at the club right now. Constant leaks are not something that just happen, it is a sign that not everyone is on the same page on and off the field. You have to question the motive that they had to leak this news THIS WEEK. There will be people happy to say all is well at the club but this is certainly a blip and trust is being breached by a rat in the ranks.

Farewell Alex Neal-Bullen
90%? I reckon I've given maybe 2 critique posts on Nibbler's game in the last 5 years and while there's plenty here that have heaped it on him, I'm certain that he's beloved by many on here.

Farewell Alex Neal-Bullen
The more pertinent question is why was it leaked this week. That's what I'd like to know...

Most people's favourite player that they didn't realise was their favourite. Will miss you Nibbler.

We're stuffed. Leadership down the toilet

Kate Roffey
I can't really comment on Kate's leadership as I don't sit on board meetings or any other governance level tasks at the club. I do feel that Kate is someone who prefers to leave the football management stuff to the football people and not get stuck in with things outside if her wheelhouse and I do prefer this to the gung ho approach of Kennett, Gordon, Cochrane etc. My only real issue is on the home base.

POSTGAME: Rd 22 vs Port Adelaide
I solely watched Oliver for about 10 mins in the 2nd or 3rd quarter, he hardly moved from the centre square or wing area and was usually 30+ metres off the contest. Barely broke out of a jog. He has to have a virus or something, yes he's had a down year but something about this game looked different. Someone in the gameday thread mentioned when he came off he was throwing up or something like that so who knows but it made the Clarry we've been getting this year look pretty good.

PODCAST: Rd 22 vs Port Adelaide
I felt like I asked this in one of the non Q & A eps so I'd like to bump it again but apologies in advance if it's been covered already on an ep I missed, would be great to hear everyone's thoughts: "If Ed Langdon were going to the Paris Olympics, what would be his pet event on the track? 800m/1500mm/5k/10k/Marathon/something else?"

Fantastic post. This is exactly where we are at right now and a little reality check is what is needed.

I'd he shocked if the conversation wasn't at least had this off-season, it's on a year by year basis at this point. Lever is the heir apparent.
