  1. Haha appreciate that! I do having a passing interest but wouldn't be able to go too deep. It's definitely a potential trap game if we aren't careful, if the Crows take the game on I can see them giving us some issues. Need to make sure our forward line is moving constantly and not stationary, just need to kick enough goals and we should be right. Ever since we lost that game in Adelaide by a point I've just wanted to build this massive streak on them 😃

They should make teams do Dry July until they get a win in July.
  3. Serious sizzle there Binman!
  4. I would take that on offer in a heartbeat. The issue sounds complex
  5. "We don't want anyone to be a hero" Message to MRO from AFL
  6. I wouldn't have the nous to know what I'm talking about in Cricket Deever haha
  7. Victim of a crud rule. Evidence that the league's flippant nature ia damaging.
  8. I loved Peter Donegan's interview style. One of my inspirations in the small number of interview situations I've been part of
  9. Yeah probably not but I could take it or leave it to be honest
  10. I'm going for England in the cricket

  12. Scrap the finals then, with that idea the top 6 will already play each other in the remaining games so finals will just be rematch fatigue. By the end the top 2 on the ladder can play in the Grand Final. Ridiculous idea in itself but it's still better than theirs.
  13. The way Goodwin has handled this one has been quite exemplary.
  14. That's right, corrected. Would edit but we're on live coast to coast.
  15. I would say so. Tex's year has been exceptional, only 1 goal behind Curnow in the Coleman. Rankine is one of the best forward 50 stoppage players in the comp, gotta watch those ground balls in defensive 50. Yes there's Fogarty, Rachele and Thilthorpe who can get on the scoreboard but things up forward do tend to flow from the other two and I'd rather make them try to beat us with their 3rd, 4th and 5th options.
  16. Exactly Chelly and we dropped the ball by not mentioning this in the Deathriding thread. Apologies if someone mentioned this in the Deathriding thread.
  17. I couldn't either, I was just going off DLers which is always a smart thing to do..
  18. The last 7 or 8 posts have been really insightful and I don't think anyone is wrong. Personally looking back at the replay I thought in the 2nd and 3rd quarters there was still a lot that we were doing right. We did make some poor decisions and at times there could have been a work rate issue but the Lions were really just that good. Some of their delivery into 50 was just pure silk and while people might be a bit mixed on whether our backline had a good game or not, I do wonder if many other backlines would have kept them to less than 104 with the footy they were producing. I gave our defence a B grading on the night. I think we took a lot out of this game learnings wise. Letting a team 'play in their own half' to use a Soccer term will work most times but they way they kept the ball in motion and pulled our zone around can be a trap. Plenty for Chaplin to take out of it.
  19. It's also hard to do something like this every week as a knee-jerk, even doing the votes can be a challenge. I like the instant reaction nature of this thread before everyone puts their two cents in on the postgame thread.
  20. No real surprise. A few clubs out there would be keen.
  21. Clarko taught him well.
  22. The only guy who openly supported the camp and the positive impact it had on him. Heart and soul of AFC and ultimate clubman. Those fans are scum and don't deserve him, hope he gets a late career trade and maybe a last shot at a flag.
  23. I watch this film a lot lately!
  24. I'm getting a little frustrated with the argument that certain things introduced would be more 'exciting' for the competition. When they first brought the sub in around 2011 the people who liked it said it was exciting and added something to the game but didn't really factor in what it meant for players and coaches. Just this morning I was speaking with my boss about Marvel, he likes going there and thinks it's a good stadium fair enough. I said that the place is pretty flawed and that I've never been a fan of the surface and he replied "Well, I don't play on it". This is the kind of person that laps up whatever the AFL gives them. It's almost this self absorbed entertainment factor and it makes you feel like a nutjob for caring about the overall state of the competition and how it's played. I do think it will happen and we will get used to it, whatever dude.
