I don't mind the article and honestly from the outside looking in says what a lot of people are thinking. Bringing in a 29 y.o 2 time AA ruckman on big coin then telling him to go back to the VFL to work on his forward craft just looks weird. Why would you buy a Ferrari then be upset when you realise it doesn't do off-road all that well?

PREGAME: Rd 19 vs Adelaide
Adelaide being poor away from home does not enter my consideration in this game. If we don't turn up we will be beaten. I don't know how many times we need to have a comforting stat disproven to know that it can be danger. Whether it's playing GWS off a bye, best 4th quarters going into the last against Port, most accurate team after 8 weeks or whatever, it all means toss unless we actually turn up.

I'm perfectly fine with a general conversation about umpiring decisions it's just frustrating when that's the main talking point in the heat of the moment while watching a game when in my opinion there should be higher priorities. The dissent rule is a good example of the rule of the week garbage that is making it harder to watch. We can do without the flavour of the week stuff.

I don't hate Geelong as much as others but I was kinda looking forward to them missing the 8 for a change.

POSTGAME: Rd 18 vs Brisbane
I’ve watched the last quarter twice and am still stumped how we did it. We started winning a bit more contested footy and clearances but it's so hard to see what changed. We took some more risks. I think Brisbane did go into their shell a bit too early and after looking so confident since the end of the first quarter they started looking scared, missing short options and just banging it long out of their backline. A comeback almost always coincides with a 'come apart'. They definitely choked.
