  1. Kali nichta kids.
  2. Depends which back 6 combo you're talking about. I think playing multiple back 6 combinations in a season does little for cohesion in a team that plays a zone defence, especially when the most recent combo seemed to bear the most fruit. It's easy to forget now it would be naive to say that our backline hasn't had any issues at all this year. I do agree though that Max could drop back a bit and fill the hole, much like the Dogs game in Rd 1.
  3. To be fair I'm glad none of us are on the coaching committee.
  4. Great effort!
  5. Is that a bamboo handle? Too many hipster kettles on the market.
  6. I had an offer from Boozebud for Norman's Regional Series Shiraz. $168 for the Dozen, only till midnight though.
  7. It would be nice if the back 6 could get a little cohesion without being chopped and changed every two seconds.
  8. He chases and provides defensive pressure too. Hope he bags a hatful.
  9. Yeah not a fan of it either.
  10. Thank you! God it is infuriating!
  11. One of mine is: "Set the structure" while everyone else around me is yelling to man up 😄
  12. One day the 'tide will turn for them.
  13. Was literally just thinking this. If we are bringing Petty in it may be a safer option.
  14. Hey Slartibartfast. I know a little, it's a bit harder to keep up now with all the different types of High def TVs on the market now but hopefully can help in some way. When the picture ghosts is it like the blurry 'multiple' image or is it more like the slightly slower movement that you see in a bad soap opera? Ghosting and blur usually comes down to two things: a) Poor refresh rate, b) mismatch between frame rate of the tv and the actual content. I'm surprised that this is happening on an LG OLED TV as this brand and a couple of others are easily the best in this category and especially for watching sport, they usually have excellent refresh rates so I'm ruling that out. Another thing could be the settings, does it have one of those gimmick features like 'Motion blur' or 'Super motion' or something like that? You wouldn't happen to have a model no or the year handy?
  15. Really proud, this is how the world should work.
  16. No doubt but knowing them they will probably draft some 195cm guy from Otway who will kick 40 next year.
  17. The slightest cough with bruised ribs...
  18. From a broken rib and partially collapsed lung? Struth!
  19. It would be very strange to bring Petty in and play him back now of all times. Not impossible but goes against selections this year.
  20. The thing that leaves a bad taste is that it was an 'almost' conviction. Not guilty of tanking related charges but Bailey and Connolly guilty of acting in a prejudicial manner to the interests of the competition. No loss of future draft picks which would have sent a strong message but a nicely wrapped fine which was subsequently given back to us. I don't doubt that we tanked and I'm not arguing that we didn't, but there's a photo of us in the dictionary under the definition of tanking when so many teams did it. They were just looked after.
  21. Gotta plead a bit of ignorance with this one, it was early and got confused by the full stops after 'bloo'. My bad!
  22. Did he say anything about being beaten by what we knew or didn't know?
  23. I would keep it exactly as is. Sometimes when you edit a show like this down you lose a lot of the energy and natural conversation which is what I listen to it for. You can also start obsessing on what to edit and get picky on every little um and ah, it's a real rabbit hole. You also stream it live so it's good to hear it as it was if you miss it. The show is like good talkback radio and there aren't any other MFC pods like it so I don't mind if the time is longer on some eps. There's plenty of short and punchy edited podcasts out there, this one has a real niche. The 3 of you also speak very well considering the show is done in one take.
  24. Can you imagine the time you'd need to spend editing if you had to cut it down? Usually need to allow twice the length of the recording at very least!
