  1. You know your priorities are different to the media's when nearly every outlet is leading off their stories with what Nick Daicos's injury means to the Brownlow race. This award is so insignificant in the real scheme of things and Collingwood's premiership chances were the real story.
  2. The vitriol being aimed at Sparrow is completely uncalled for.
  3. Definitely. I see a T-mac 2018 season from him if he's down there full time.
  4. 21% centre bounces attendance for JVR, easily his most since Grundy went out. I think he's back in too, now to make it work.
  5. Appreciate your view and absolutely agree but if it wasn't an underrated aspect then you wouldn't see the likes of Schache, Weideman and Watts taken so high in drafts. This in built nature to know exactly how you position yourself as a forward is definitely what I look for as well and then using your movement to best advantage, the push and pull is a great way to put it. You don't have to be a G-train or Travis Cloke but you have to be able to hold ground. The guys who don't have it look like they are running around in circles.
  6. Would be the most massive of wins if he's still a shout for finals.
  7. Yeah they really know how to pump and gee up the crowd and play with amazing individual brilliance every time they step on the footy court!
  8. Webber when I first saw the impact on the replays I was adamant that the ankle twisted to about 9 o clock like an abduction movement and over-stretched the ligaments but is it more likely the force came from below the foot and went more upwards? PS: Apologies in advance for incorrect lingo.
  9. The thing that really bothers me about Schache is his inability to hold his ground and his position. It's a little thing but so underrated when someone is playing key forward. Petty, JVR, even Brown will be in good positions in a contest most of the time and it takes a lot to physically move them from it. Not saying they win the ball every time but they are where you'd expect them in a marking contest. Schache on the other hand doesn't stand up in a marking contest nearly often enough and ends up half a metre away from the spot you'd like him far too often. Whether it's from being bodied off it, overunning it, getting caught behind, he's usually 'off' the contest. The circle area of his positioning is just too large compared to others. I'm sure his value is more once the ball is in his hands but we've got Melksham and hopefully Fritta soon for that. We need someone to crash the pack, get the ball to ground and compete in the air every time.
  10. He can be that guy but I agree he's at a slight fork in the road where he needs to decide exactly what he wants to be. Does he want to put in the extra yards to get his fitness in absolute ripping nick? Would he potentially re-structure his contract down the track to make it more 'team friendly' and allow Freo to chase some free agent pieces? Would he put in the extra hours working on forward craft so he becomes more rounded as a player and can help his team in other ways. He's right at the start of this choose your own adventure journey and it is entirely up to him how he wants it to work out. The sky is the limit and we'll just have to wait, we'll know plenty more around the 23 or 24 y.o mark.
  11. Why, Why, Why... would we put May up forward?
  12. Haha well played Skuit! Flew into next week.
  13. Any time foot or bad ankle injuries happen now I think of metal plates going in and all sorts of weirdo stuff that could affect a player's long term career. I feel the same way I did with Fritsch, if it's 5 - 6 weeks it's not ideal at all but at least it's not threatening for next season and a full recovery can be made.
  14. We need your team selecting more than ever right now Werra.
  15. The way his ankle moved I was certain ligaments overstretched. If they didn't then that is something to hang the hat on. Obviously the foot stuff could be terrible though. I need help.
  16. I'm scared it's both high ankle and the mid foot. From the vision at the time and the way it moved I would have sworn ankle. Another day of sweating, I hate football.
  17. How does it go from Syndesmosis to lisfranc?
  18. I thought it was a good win too and you are very correct.
  19. You better be right or there will be big, big problems.
  20. YESSSSSSSS. HOPE 🙃
  21. Here's hoping. Would be the best thing ever.
  22. We all need to stick together
  23. Well we have few other choices. I'm just so far from convinced he can put together a 4 quarter game.
  24. Nah it's not the same, different.
