  1. I was stoked with the Taylor pick and I'm pleased with the calculated risk taken on Pickett. Bold moves build clubs.

Had to settle for highlights of this game, week has been choccas. It was the most intriguing NFC West game of the year for me so far that didn't include us. I've said it before that I think both teams are good this year but I do have the Rams and Stafford ahead of the Hawks and Darnold. As many games do, this was going to come down to the QB position and not to be that guy but I was right. I think Darnold has really forged a good career for himself, but there is still the question of getting it done enough in the big moments and this game did nothing to shed that tag. 4 interceptions and all of them were his fault, you can just imagine Cooper Kupp finishing many of his hitch routes belting out an expletive in this game. There's some things that teams always seem to do well, as if it's in their DNA. Whether it's on defense or offense or developing a certain position. The Rams always seem to excel at D-line and getting after the QB and there was serious pressure of Darnold. Special mention to Ethan Evans. As good a punt as you'll see with 1:41 left and leading by 2 points. Special teams matter!
  3. It says a lot about the overall draft class in 2025 and how JT and co viewed it. Pick 12 is pretty early to be going for mature age players and there probably weren't many standing out but if there was a year to reach this was probably it. I'm not all that convinced that we would have selected Farrow if available.
  4. I'm edging towards NHH. Seems like a classy player and seems to have a lot of football sense. I love the idea of Ludowyke but it if we picked him it would seriously make me wonder what we're doing with Jefferson, another athletic key forward.
  5. One thing we know for sure is that Taylor is the right name to have on draft night..
  6. I think Pickett is a punt in that most would have had Dovaston in their sights but this is where JT earns his money. A punt but a very healthy punt. Plenty of upside, not disappointed with the pick at all.

Ah the difficult 3rd choice.. Patriots Seahawks Eagles FWIW I think the bookies went a bit short on Buffalo. Texans could surprise.
  8. "StickitoutinfrontofPickett!!"
  9. Nairn to Hawthorn. Damn
  10. Lindsay fell to 19? Good kicks still not valued enough?
  11. Absolutely stoked with Xavier Taylor. Same feeling I had with Lindsay last year. I think he's got the lot, hybrid defender to take us into the future. Pickett at 12 is exciting but definitely a reach. Yes, Kozzie was a reach too so that is comforting. If there's a year to reach at 12 its this one though.
  12. Love it Pennant. Father in law is from Scarborough, I stay there often. I wear my Scarborough Surf Club jacket to the MCG in winter all the time 🙂 On Farrow he's one of the harder ones to get a read on in this draft. The athleticism is definitely there and would hold him in good stead but I'm not quite seeing the Hayden Young in his play. Looks a little one dimensional and really wants to get onto his left. Not necessarily a bad thing but the next question I'd have is does he have the tank to get to as many contests as possible? Could go either way this one but I wouldn't be reaching with a top 10.
  13. Has he got much of a leap?
  14. You're probably right but for the youtuber market I reckon he's filling a void. There are some good 10 min punchy videos for the layman that wants to keep up without having to wade through 30 minute+ motion picture length and frankly boring discussions about the draft loaded with terms that most people don't understand. It may work for people like us but I'm constantly talking to people who don't bother getting into it because most of the content like this is way too hard to understand. Easy to consume and fairly concise, even if it is regurgitated. I also didn't realise Zerohanger had a YT channel until now.

It never works for me, I have to delay watching till at least lunchtime.
  16. I actually just got onto Pommy in oz's youtube channel Turner. Actually pretty darn good! One of the better resources on YT outside of Gettable for draft reports etc.

Hawks-Rams will be a belter. Might actually watch it in full.
  19. Alright, but your reputation is on the line..
  20. Rankings and phantom drafts are different things.
  21. Seasons in the abyss? Might end up being pretty accurate.
  22. Underrated but something off Invaders Must Die like World's on Fire would be cool.
  23. Was thinking the same thing. When the report raves about kicking I tend to study the action, especially the set shot action. It's pretty good but there is something happening in that ball drop that I wouldn't call perfect. I hear you on the jarring to the eye thing. The fact is though it seems to be very darn effective and you just have to go with it till it stops working.
