  1. Best gameday experience I've had at the G in a long time.
  2. You know what I really like about Caleb? He's not afraid to take that extra step, especially when carrying it through the middle. It's ones of those facets that would take our gameplan out of the safe and more into the daring stratosphere. I'd like to see more of that from all our mids, even if they get caught once and a while.
  3. Yeah well spotted Binman. definitely saw him going to Greene in the wide areas.
  4. Late in a game 40 points up I'd like to see it

I remember going into a complete choking fit when I first saw Jerry Rice suit up for the Seahawks..
  8. Were you still there on Saturday after it finished? I walked in as everyone vanished so I decided to do a bit of my own exercise on the oval instead :)

We need more inward and outward movement from our forwards.
  12. I'd have PP back in a flash. Just wish they didn't build those bloody offices!

Yeah.. That last centre bounce has been stuck in my head ever since. It was funny because from level 2 I could see Max and the others congregating on the back corner of the centre square on the Warne side just before the bounce and thought that Langdon was just part of it because the meeting happened to be out there.

The jury will need a while to decide that one

    Lachie Thief
  17. Yeah that and post-clearance possession
  18. The concern is how much we're still relying on score from stoppage and Max monstering in the ruck. The proof of the pudding with the evolving ganeplan will be if the scores from transition increase. I think yesterday with the weather and personel out is a tough one to be critical on the gameplan and really needs a few weeks Guys like Xavier Lindsay are very much going to help this area and I'm going to be watching how this area develops closely.

Looked like he never left the backline. A very assured performance.

You can look at these games two ways. - A missed opportunity to bank 4 points against a contender early in the season - A day full of encouraging signs and something that can be built on. Which one to you guys fall into? Also, should we have had Trac in the middle for that last bounce?

I think second guessing about selection today is a bad idea. The guys we had out there had a crack and more of them did well than not. It sucks to lose a game of football this way but what can you do? Build on from this performance.

Should JVR have played? Looked no-where near it today.

    6. Gawn 5. Salem 4. Petracca 3. Lindsay 2. Oliver 1. Lever
  24. Not a great crowd but really what do you expect when the game is at the same time at the F1, the weather is [censored] and we're playing against a tin pot club?

The game was always coming down to the wire for me and the Giants were probably just a bit slicker when it counted. Plenty to like out there today. Xavier Lindsay was everything I thought we were getting when we drafted him. Harry Sharp gives a lot of zip not only out wide but in close when you need a quick option. Aidan Johnson gave us another physical body that we've been craving and didn't look one bit afraid when in ruck duties. Great to see Petracca look as strong as ever, Clayton worked his socks off. Jake Lever I thought was outstanding in the absence of May and Harry Petty a welcome return down back. You can look at these ones two ways, missed opportunities to bank some early points or a gallant effort against a finals side you can build on. No right or wrong answers but enough to keep Dees fans interested this season I reckon. Go Dees.
