THE LAST TIME THEY MET: Rd 03 vs Sydney
Yes, it was a strong team if everyone was fully healthy but a few of them weren’t and others got banged up during the game while others were not at their optimum fitness. If the selectors pick the right side, we can win this one.

TRAINING: Wednesday 25th January 2023
Strange because his disposal at Casey was usually pretty solid.

2023 Injury List
“Max was closely monitored over the weekend, and we were really pleased with how his hamstring settled.” — Melbourne head of medical Dr Laura Lallenec.

Casey Demons off season
The simple answer to your question about players from the Gippy Power is that their best players were either drafted, are too young or simply not good enough. Jonti Shuback is possibly the exception to that rule.

TRAINING: Monday 9th January 2023
Wow. That report from Zero Hangar about TMac not being far away from a start to training was spot on.

Welcome to Demonland Matthew Jefferson
Jefferson is slightly taller and, at 18 years old, still has the capacity to grow a few centimetres.

Welcome to Demonland Oliver Sestan
Since he got the gig at ESPN, this bloke really has lost the plot, particularly when it comes to Melbourne. He did get potted by Demon fans (and others) on a couple of occasions on bigfooty last year over some of his views. He’s entitled to his opinion so we’ll cop his E classification which ignores the fact that we retained two F1s & F2s but I’m not sure about the view that Jefferson has to find the football more often to become a consistent key forward. He was one of the top goalkickers overall and he showed on the biggest stage at the National Championships that he can find the ball and kick goals. His assessment doesn’t appear to cover the rookie draft anyway.

Wonder which of the pundits came closest to the pin.

Phantom Drafts Thread 2022
A lot more will be known when Cal Twomey drops his phantom draft which has been promised for this evening. I don’t know what I’ll be doing first - catch up with the state elections, watch Australia v Tunisia or watch for the Cal Twomey Phantom Draft.

Bailey Humphrey
Interesting that some posters are making jokes about his name but this bloke is a seriously good footballer.

2022 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
A point of difference - no Jefferson at 13 and Foster at 37

Welcome to Demonland Pick 13
I was at Princes Park when WA played Vic Metro and Elijah Hewett looked a ready made AFL player to me - far more than any other player on the ground that day with the exception of Will Ashcroft. I’d like to know what he’s done wrong since that game that caused him to slide to a projected top 20 pick.

Are they training the houses down or are the houses on fire? I can never tell the difference.

Seems about the right place to secure Jaxon Binns.

2022 NAB AFL DRAFT COMBINE
Just in case people are wondering why there hasn’t been much in the news about the AFL Draft Combine, it’s because the first two days were taken up with interviews and medicals. The actual athletic testing is today.

Trade and Free Agency rumours
No, he’s not a slightly better version of Jimmy Munro. It’s Knightmare being Knightmare - he likes pushing forward mature age footballers and hyping up players who are NQR. His October Power top 20 rankings he’s included Casey Voss (son of Michael) who he’s been trying to get drafted for about 4 years without a sniff and he’s also pushing Port Melbourne’s Ethan Phillips. Neither will ever make it.

What's next for Adem Yze?
I hope Yze gets a senior coaching gig but a word of advice, stay away from the hangar.

Finn Emile-Brennan
Finn played well in a badly beaten up side last night in the NAB League GF. His stats were 14 kicks, 3 handballs which was one disposal less than the best for the Stingrays (Jaxon Binns) and strangely enough, the most kicks. He disposes of the ball very nicely and could do with a couple of pre seasons at AFL level, possibly as a rookie.
