Watching the Derby and the crowd involvement and I would say that after the first two weeks of the finals, the rest will be played at Optus Stadium. No chance in Victoria.

Needs to work on his disposal and we have Choko Williams to fix that up.

Max Gawn and Chris Connolly on The Front Bar
Freddy Fuschia replied to Blistering's topic in Melbourne Demons
During the period, at least four or five other teams had put the cue in the rack and ended up with priority picks but the AFL investigated only Melbourne. The practice had even been given public approval by the AFL CEO. Tony Liberatore virtually fessed up that it had occurred while he was at Carlton but was hauled in to HQ and silenced. Whatever the club was guilty of, others were as well but we were the scapegoat and Chris was the one who took a hit for the club. I loved his appearance on the Front Bar and it was great to see that he’s kept his sense of humour. -
Could we stop speculating about finishing on top and start taking things one game at a time. We have a game to win tomorrow.

We still have the no [censored] policy, so that’s a “no”. Definitely.

2021 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Freddy Fuschia replied to TRIGON's topic in Melbourne Demons
If he's eligible this year, he would be easier to draft. If he's draft eligible next year we would struggle to get him because we could not match a bid up to number 40. -

Worth keeping an eye on this guy if he's eligible this year. -
James Cousins replaces Connor Nash in the Hawks’ line up.

Suns will give us a bit of a touch up next week if we’re not careful.
-
Think Jackson started off around a top ten contender and went to us at pick 3, didn’t he?

The Pullett Surprise laid an egg. -
That might well be so but just a reminder that Melbourne’s first draft pick at the moment is in the 30s. Even if we trade up, where do the club’s priorities lie in November. A development ruckman?
-
The powers that be in the AFL/VFL aren’t demonstrating that they’re particularly interested in the proper promotion of community interests and football. The Pink Lady match is getting short shrift so don’t expect anything from them or 7 on the subject of the match of the round in this competition.
-
Don’t completely underestimate Daw as your 3rd tier ruckman. If he wants the role, there’s nothing wrong with someone like him and then to rookie a development tall.

Also, the draft pundits are saying that Woey Junior is a little bit “vanilla” and there’s little to excite about in his play. Your view? -
Another good thing about the Suns beating the Toigs is that the AFL can hardly gift them any more draft concessions now, surely?

Looking out the window and seeing sunshine. I know Melbourne weather can change quickly but hoping it wasn't a bad read on the weather report that decided the selectors' minds about not going for Ben Brown today.

No, Jonesy is injured (calf strain).

It hasn’t taken the new regime at Collingwood long to wield the hatchet but I suspect this bloke’s the fall guy and that others who were responsible for their salary cap fiasco (apart from Eddie) are still there. List manager Ned Guy quits Collingwood after tumultuous off-season

As they say in Africa, “no gnus is good gnus.”

OMG. With potentially another ACL, it opens up another spot in the mid season draft. Perhaps we secure one of the better performed Casey players and Werribee’s Declase plus a good under age junior?
