I think we have the grunt now we need the polish. Quick outside mid with great skills, we have Toumpas someone like him but with a bit of unpredictability Stevie J like. Lennon sounds like this type of player

Hopefully we can get Anthony Miles as a delisted free agent or PSD and Maverick Wellar as a rookie. So it looks like we have pick 9, 40 ish and 55 ish, would like to get Garlett at 40 ish. I get the feeling we aren't done yet and next week we will be trying to trade a few players out

Vince complements the midfield we are starting to assemble. You take out our under 22yo mids we only have Jones, great that we are seeming to put together a group of mids around the same age to come through, the fact is we need some experience in there as well. The best thing about 2014 this sole midfielder will have friends from who we trade in and the development of Viney/Toumpas/Trengove. If we can walk away next Friday with Vince, Michie and a couple of others we start to see a midfield that should be able to compete next year.

Don't mind it but Vince and Lyons should be pick 20/54 Michie will be pick 36 same result but more likely the asking price. You also need to target a couple of the out of contact GWS players try to get another mid for the PSD pick 2.

A bloke joined in the conversation he stated Sylvia will be gone as a free agent and we will not get a priority pick but we will be over compensated for Sylvia. I think if you work through the AFL Free agent compensation Sylvia will be Band 4, we might get band 3 because we missed out on the priority pick, the same blokes that submitted on the priority pick decided on the level of compensation for free agents.

The FA Trade period only needs to be two weeks in total. Look at the Free agent trades this year, all of these had been agreed to by the relevant parties prior to the start of the free trade window. The AFL wants to keep itself in the media through the off season great but it is having the reverse effect the papers have nothing on the AFL because there is nothing happening. Great, we don't rush we start to show that we are capable of playing finals Roos gets the finals bug and we have him for 4-6 years. We wait till next year we find the right candidate we will still most likely get Roos to do his full 3 years.

If the papers are true and we have offered him a 4 year deal he would be mad not to take it. AFL players make great money and to extend your life as an AFL footballer for 2 extra years would get him 700K-800K. If he stays in Adelaide gets 2 years then is forced out at 30 you will be lucky if someone else gives you a chance. If I was Vince and the 4 year deal was on the table I would jump on board.

What will week two offer, week one was a non event I expect more of the same this week. We don't find out until 5.30 on Friday the Free agent compo picks, for us you would expect a Band 3 for Sylvia but it could also be a band 4, this will impact on how active we trade. Band 3 is approx pick 21 Band 4 will be approx pick 39. I can't see us being involved in executing any trades until next week.

Adelaide want our second round pick, they need it to trump Port for Polec. To me we trade our second round and fourth round pick to the crows for Vince and Lyons, offer third round pick for Michie.

I would take both these guys, throw pick 20 and our fourth Round pick plus Sam Blease get them to add in Anthony Miles.
