You are right, but it is the Club as whole who has to make these boys want to stay here, make the MFC run through their blood. Norm Smith was a Huge Filth supporter before he came to melbourne, granted their was not the big money then but Norm became Melbourne. If the club continues to grow in all directions these guys will want to stay hopefully, remember Thompson left when we were stuck at the junction oval antique shop and went back to state of the art facilities. Once our new Gyms are open at casey and Bubble dome The MFC will feel so much more like a club to be at. Sure hope so anyway. Once Free Agency kicks in who can tell what is going to happen. But these guys havent even started yet so lets enjoy the ride and see what happens. But one thing we must do as supporters is make a lot of noise at the games, so the players feel our support out there. Gotta get rid of that image that we are "dull" supporters-it's carp i know but people out there believe it (heard a poll on SEN the other morning that made me want to throw up really. Everybody was just hanging it on the MFC) We will not be the whipping post for much longer, and the AFL community hopefully will get the shock of their lives.

Therein lies the answer to the 2010 season How much have we the MFC improved v How much has opposition sides improved. Which is why we do not have to finish on or near the bottom as the Media seem to have pidgeon holed us for the year, to say nothing of the Sportsbet odds!!! If we as a team have made genuine improvement we will win more games than many around here think is possible, regardless of age or experience...Who told Cyril Rioli to play a blinder in the 2008 GF??? Answer...... he did. Few of our guys get a little confidence up in the early weeks, the MFC could ruin the Bookies Pockets. It's up to the players I heard Ju$$ on the wireless this morning, what he said was right....."Making excuses for age or experience is an easy way out for clubs to not give their best. Every player who plays Round 1 this year is an adult, who can play the game" I think that statement applies to the MFC as well.

It is a circuliar Arguement which i think is disrespectful to some one who gave a lot of great service, in a team that never had a designated CHF. Robbo did a mighty job. With the injuries that we have sustained over this pre season we will miss those 40+ goals that Robbo could kick from a pocket and coming off the bench. I understand the clubs philosophy perfectly but IMO it was one year too early. If i am wrong at seasons end i will gladly fess up Enforcer my friend you can say what you like about Robbo i don't mind at all But choose the words carefully we all loved Robbo flying through the air so he deserves some respect.

The players you rate as STARS are not stars, this includes all the other names you listed as well-The Reason being none of them have played in a Premiership or even got close. They are Good players but far from stars. They may be stars within the club supporters but not in the wider AFL Fraternity. We need to raise our expectations, i understand after 46 years of starvation this is not easy.

i will also add to that list 1. Being removed from the MCG as a training ground & going to the junction oval for 20 odd years. St.kilda Heartland where i doubt we were able to increase support very much 2. as Cameron Schwab said in his Wednesday video this week. Nice Work Robbie57. I agree on all fronts. The Team can win if it has the right attitude and can go beyond that pain barrier in order to do it. I hope this letter gets sent in to the club. Adrenilin can do amazing things in short bursts....People have lifted up cars by themselves to free injured Passengers after an accident at times. I know that is an extreme example but it is true. Just because SEN and the print media say we are going to finish on the bottom does that mean it has too happen?? No point in playing the season out if we believe we as a club cannot win-that's just free points to the opposition clubs and i won't cop that and nor should the club. I hope the players on our list get together sometime over the next 10 days, by themselves & make it plain that they are going to get this Game Plan Blue Print right. No offence 45 but you were born in '87, so i do not need you to tell me to get over what happened in both 87 & 88. For 20 Years i watched Hawthorn Kick the living suitcase out of almost everyone. Don't get me wrong, i have respect for them but i still hate their Guts. You as a great Stats man, i urge you to read up on the Hawthorn FC between 1971-1991. It all started with john kennedy back in the late 50's who was sick & tired of being belted by Norm Smith's demons. I Hate the Hawks & their supporters, but we would have been very similiar back in our glory run-expecting to win each week. We need to get that fire burning again. Finally i will take the despair bitterness & emptiness of the 87 & 88 Hawthorn defeats with me to my grave-there is no drug known to man that can erase that, i have tried everything!!!! Sue you need an extra applicastion to put in your applications folder to run big pond video I am at work now, and cannot recall name of said app. i have it on my mac at home. 3 years ago we were worse than a train wreck on & off the ground. The building analogy is spot on. i totally renovated my house 3 years ago & there were times i thought it would never end, but slowly it all came together, just got to plan it solidly-delegate work to the best people qualified & trust them to do it.
