Thanks Billy-My exact reason for the original post. All these clubs players are ahead of ours-OVER THE LAST 3 YEARS thus i don't think we had a player in the top 100 in that time. 2010 season may be different i hope.

Considering his size i think Le cras is a gun. Thats what the Top 50 is..The Guns and sadly we have not had any for a long time. I really hope from now on (now we are about to have State of the Art traing Facilities to use) the MFC demands a very high level of excellence, moreso i hope the players raise their own bar.

I wouldn't have minded sheedy coaching at all. He is still a very wise man, he would have bought in all the assistants he needed, But it just shows how good Bails presentation must have been, who in fact was coached by sheeds anyway!!

Dean Laidley has had many of the Port Power boys in the Sandpit over summer apparently to toughen them up.

Makes perfect sense when you think about it doesn't it, build up strength from within & then to the extremities. Particularly for the more solid boned physique.

No you just don;t mark the end of season exam hard enough 45. Over the past 3 seasons none of our players have deserved to be anywhere near the Top 50 in the AFL. Pavlich is like Robbie Flower was-an exception to the rule. (sorry it was 12 out of 66 i stand corrected)

How many great games did he play last year?? Great Games worthy of the Top 50 in the AFL Col had a top year don't get me wrong, but thats only because the years before that were just not good enough. Col played some good games for us but i don't think he was top 50 material in the AFL.. The Best Players in this Top 50 are usually from winning sides-Robbie Flower was a notable exception

We won 7 games in 3 years none of our players deserved to be in any top 50 0r top 100 categories. Sorry if it Hurts 45 i am just being a realist=Davey is a good choice for 2010 as he will probably play closer to goal But over the last 3 years Nope we don't deserve anything.

When have we last deserved a Player in the Top 50 of any AFL Poll? Sure Davey had a good season last year, but he was so far down the back of the field nobody except us Demon supporters took any notice of him. Over the last 3 years we would have struggled to get a player in the Top 100 No arguement from me.

Correct on all points. Our senior Players will all be front loaded, hopefully with incentive clauses so they do not get lazy. But even after doing this i still doubt we are paying anywhere near 100% of the entire Team Cap. Maybe by 2012 but not now.

Correct, but i still do not think it is possible we are paying the full 100% of the cap as our list is so young and inexperienced, but i could be wrong. I am pretty sure i heard CC talk this all through on radio last week, but i was busy at the time so could not concentrate all the way.

If we did not front load contracts this year we would in fact be paying about 85% of the salary cap because our list is so young. This Jon Ralph does not mention.

Will all depend on how the Team Performs, if they pull of some great wins-you watch the supporters wake up. We have a very large dormant following out there.

i will be working next monday so if anybody has a link via the web to a copy of this show after it has gone to air would love to see it.

i am meaning more having 10 teams in the finals, and the fact that the years fixture is becoming more loaded towards crowd maximising rather than a fair draw. The AFL Draw is a total disgrace now-it is designed to line the pockets of shareholders and nothing else. Considering how physically brutal the game is every club should expect a 7 day break between games. Don't tell me it cannot be done-it can. it would just cost the AFL more $$

I hope Darwin becomes the Football suburb that the MFC never had. 3-4 games a year up there would be a massive injection of supporters and cash flow.
