  1. No it won't. The Players will hopefully just be very dirty on themselves & quickly realize they have to work harder. But it certainly wouldn't be Devastating. Saying that, i hope our midfield dictates the game so that we can win.
  2. I have collected them all so far-Brilliant Stuff indeed. We the supporter now know what is really going on. Great stuff
  3. I wasn't laughing at you, i was laughing at the guy who you replied to.
  4. That's Great. I bet Norm Smith's Teams in the 50's tackled hard as well Keep it up Jordie-You inspire your team mates to go in hard.
  5. Maybe right-i am not sure. Last i heard they were, but maybe that's just to play matches
  6. Not to forget Craig Bellamy, Ernie Merrick (Flag City between those two!! or the Rebels Coach-This is a real positive for the Club to have all the "Melbourne's" close by as long as they have designated areas within that are permanent. With General areas as well.
  7. I think Greeny has pretty good commitment-Just ask his Jaw over the last 2 years-I think Greeny has stepped up & it's line ball between he & Junior now-which is a healthy situation. one in defence one in attack.
  8. That's what kelly o'donnell said on the radio this morning. That JW has a fantastic attitude-some people even on this site do not want JW to succeed, which is why we should never have pumped him up.
  9. Absolutely, his game last sunday reminded me so much of Robert Harvey. He was just using all his skills, & knowing which one to use at the right time.
  10. Jimmy Stynes wins it by a F@#$%^&ing Mile! B)
  11. If Junior Played next year he would have to be an impact player off the Bench. Let's get through this year first-it's only just started really.
  12. BANG!!! I bet he wasn't expecting that Reply!!! (That Got me Laughing Big Time!) B)
  13. Like chucking a Dog in Front of a racing car-it was the wrong thing to do. He was used as a marketing tool. He was still doing Year 12, he should have been played against an interstate side and eased into it.
  14. I Hate this Thread...Jack Watts is 6'5 & still growing not six months out of school. The Club has made one mistake, that is we played him in the QB game last year. he is just out of school boy footy-LET HIM LEARN HIS TRADE (all year at Casey if necessary) 6'5 & still growing-He could be anything. Get off his case & show him support.
  15. Jamie Dursma was another Beauty who resurrected a career in that 88 year, a complete no name who played in the Grand Final side. Good Bloke i met jamie after he retired-he loved his time with Northey & the Demons.
  16. Big Test for our Midfield this week, & we now have one- a really good one. The game will be one from the middle, we must play well out of there to Starve the Bears 50 m arc. I reckon our Boys can do it, but can they sustain it for 100+ minutes? I hope our Team is really looking forward to this challenge. i hope the team are Really thinking "BRING THEM ON" Lets Beat a Top Side at our Ground. Like the Collingwood Game we will know the answer in the first 5 minutes. If the Team is switched on we can win-but we have to play our game. If the Bears Dictate we shall be Smashed. Go Demons-Make Jimmy Proud of ya once again, & all of us supporters. The MCG-Let's make our Home The House of Pain-Starting from this Saturday. B)
  17. Point Taken-But Northey was the right man to get the best out of those boys (after a shaky start-dont forget we were 6-9 before we got Fired up in '87.) Some of John's warm up speeches were amazing i have heard via G. Lyon, which is why we often put in Huge First halves & then Hung on for a close victory. They were never the greatest side but Northey got them to often over achieve.
  18. From A.I.S. days Together. Very Good Mates.
  19. RDB is a great bloke-don't get me wrong, but he was the first to bring in these Dammed "5 year plans" & it didn't work sadly, don't Forget at Carlton & North he had ready made (just add water sides) so it is hard to know how good RDB is as a Grass Roots Coach. He had all the pieces of his chess board. At melbourne he didn't. I have had a few Beers with Barrass when he had that pub in Richmond-Told him i Hated those North Flags too. I Hope Barrass Presents the Cup to the next Melbourne Capt. like Bob Davis did too Geelong last year
  20. That's a Pisser, wish i had heard that!!!! B)
  21. Having Read "The Coach" many times I Respect RDB, sure although i hated those Flags he won for North in the '70's-They should have been ours. That said when Barrass came back in the '80s the place was in a mess, & i am sure he and slug did a lot of Hard work but we got No results on field with the seniors. So i give RDB some credit along with slug, But most i give to John Northey.
  22. I think Sheeds needs to watch Cam Schwab's Whiteboard Wednesday presentations to learn the modern ways of a football club. I still cannot work out why he wrote that article-it makes no sense, unless he really does resent the MFC. I would have thought he would be encouraging to Bails as he is another of his past players. I love sheeds, but he lost a lot of my respect over this article. I hope it comes back to haunt him BIG TIME B)
  23. Which Parts Have Merit? Going by that Model the MFC gets to play against Regional Australia...We Started the Competition FFS!!!
  24. Very Harsh Call. He has Stiffened up that Defence a lot & Helped the side to win over the last 2 weeks It's players like Joel who are going to be the Teachers of this team in building the "culture" that we all want-it's a tough gig to be a defender in modern footy & so far Joel Mac has done a great job. Really looking forward to saturday nights game against the Bears-I hope he proves them wrong big time.
  25. Please Do Not apply for Demetrio's job when he retires. Your idea Stinks-Pure and simple. I'm sure Melbourne v Ballarat would pull a Bumper Crowd at the MCG!! Next.... B)
