I am confident T Mac doesn’t play this week. Listening to him speak about his toe he seems concerned. I think he has already made his mind up and doesn’t want to risk further injury. To mentally play this week through the injury is also a concern and definitely unwanted. Rest up T Mac! Pedo to come into the side...

I was at the game on the weekend. I thought we need to do better in crumming from the marking contests inside 50. Yes, the game opened up in the second half. But the first half our pressure inside 50 and keeping the ball in was poor. Higgins for the Tigers has gone back to the VFL already after kicking multiple goals in the AFL. Spargo can do the same. Bugg and Garlett are pressuring for spots and are season footballers. It’s Sparkies first year. Weideman is doing well and contesting which allowes Hogan and T Mac to play up the ground. However, T Smith is banging down the door. Toss of the coin at selection. The question is can Tim Smith play Weidemans role better and for longer? Who comes out for Viney? Like-for-like. Left-foot for left-foot. Tyson for mine.

I think Spargo gets a rest. 0 tackles against the Suns. I would think Garlett would be his replacement but Bugg is competing for the same spot also... Question is Garlett or Bugg? I would take Bugg on form but think he is unlucky here. Garlett will get nod before indeiginous round. Weideman might get a rest with Sparky this week also. They can work there magic in the VFL. Tim Smith is his logical replacement with Pederson also competing for this spot. Tim Smith is rewarded for his form. Tyson and Petracca are both in the gun for sub par performances in the last couple of weeks. I think Petracca is more out of form but Tyson is more likely to go out for Viney. Like-for-like. OUT- Spargo, Weideman, Tyson IN- Garlett, T Smith, Viney

Very True. Eddie would be drooling though! I think Trac came back a week early with the finger. It has only put pressure on himself to hold his spot. Because that is all he is doing at the moment. Hopefully he can have a breakout against the Blues! Deep forward for mine.

Like for like. If Viney plays well at Casey. IN- Viney OUT- Tyson Spargo 0 tackles. If Garlett kicks 3 or 4 and lays 4+ tackles there could be another change. Petracca treading water and needs to start swimming fast. I would like Trac to play deep forward. Dees will not drop him though because it would cause a fishing frenzy with other clubs (especially Collingwood). And it’s the last thing the Dees need. Weid playing an important role. He stays! Petracca can play his role though. Hunt is going to find it hard to get back in. Salem tearing it up!

Brayshaw is a hard nosed jet! We need to keep him.

Apparently the Roos are into De Goey. And I was told at the Saints game on the weekend Angus Brayshaw is going to the Dockers. I hope this isn’t true because Angus game on the weekend was awesome! We need to sign T Mac and Angus ASAP. I will be disappointed if Angus goes. It would be like Scott Thompson leaving all over again. Throw him in the Magoos now if he doesn’t want too sign. Haha...

Gee! Hard to drop anyone this week. I thought the pressure and intensity was there for 4 quarters by all... Charlie Spark has played very well in his two games and Weid is competing and playing his role very nicely. These two definitely hold there spots. I mention these two as they are the freshest faces to the team. If Salem and Viney have to come in it has to be for a similar type player. If this was the case. Salem and Hunt play a similar role. As does Viney and Tyson/ANB. Who needs a rest? ANB for Viney. I expect Salem maybe to be given one more week.

Acres is a big out for the Saints! He normally plays very well v the Dees... Hogan and Petracca I don’t think play. Hogan is banged up and needs a week off! Petracca hasn’t touched any footballs this week and needs the same. This will be highly beneficial in the short and long term for the season. I will be shocked if either play. This is where Melbourne need to play 100% fit players. It would be a smack in the mouth to the players on extended interchange who are listed to replace these two. OUT- Salem, Hogan IN- Garlett, Tim Smith Or Pedo I would like to see Garlett play high forward midfield this week. Pace around the stoppages in the centre and wings give us x-factor. I like Sparky in the F50 as our crumping player. Tim Smith or Pedo play inside 50. I think Smith gets the nod here...

Dees will beat up on the Bombers this week! We love Etihad... Clayton Oliver will turn into a Monster this week! And I am looking forward too see Charlie running around laying tackles and kicking snags.

Hannan Foll. Gawn, Oliver, ANB Int- Salem, Bugg, Vince, Pederson I would like to see Brayshaw play on Martin all night. Even when Martin goes forward. Jetta or Lever needs to stay back to help out if Martin is given an open forward 50. I prefer Jetta in this spot for his read of the play, spoiling and decision making by foot and hand. I would like too see Lever go forward at some stage if he doesn’t have a match up or is lost structurally down back. Apparently he played as a forward before being drafted and did well there. Gawn needs to rest forward more when Pederson in the ruck. Best to stand at the top of the goal square Max. Jones plays on Cotchin.

Goodwin kept playing Lewis so he could break his hand some more... lol Lewis would have been on thin ice keeping his spot in the side on form this week. Being a VC and experienced player it would have been talk of the town and Melbourne would be questioned relentlessly if he were dropped. The Dees want to avoid all the media BS. With Lewis being injured it works out for both parties to avoid embarrassment. Goodwin would be thinking the injury to Lewis has come at a good time... Sorry Jordy but you were on the chopping block!

To be honest. It just popped into my head one day. I must have been day dreaming! Lol Maybe a bit of romance between the Pies and Dees. Peter Moore headed to Melbourne after a stint at the Pies. Darcy could follow. He cannot get any consistency in his game with his continuing hammy troubles. Weideman obviously has links with the Pies and so does Hunt with previous generations playing there. Weideman might want out if he doesn’t play senior footy this year and the Pies would welcome him. Eddie has salvaged about the Weid before. Same with Hunt if he isn’t playing consistent senior football. It’s just a thought!

Goodwin needs to get his structures right and game plan up to scratch. Or else there might be a mass exodus... Hogan can only tolerate so much before he is convinced by Freo to come home. Dees made a big blue giving up 2 first rounders for Lever... We got stitched here and sets us back a little. A bit early to throw my trade hat on. But I feel this is a real possibility. If Collingwood don’t land Tom Lynch. I can see Weideman and Hunt heading to the Pies for Moore and a draft pick... ?

Slippery conditions last night doesn’t help a lot with selection. We did win and I believe all players had a crack! I think Frost should be a no-brainer to come in this week to help match up on North’s talls. Lever is playing out of position and needs to be third tall.
