  1. I would expect On The Couch to ask Neeld about Thommo's comments.
  2. Thommo said Neeld rang him and emphatically denied Thommo's accusation, so Thommo pulled the accusation.
  3. Neeld is On The Couch. Thomas is on Footy Classified.
  4. Grant Thomas is very harsh on Mark Neeld: Footy Classified tonight may well be interesting; especially since Mark Neeld is On The Couch.
  5. Bailey coached attacking footy, but defensive footy wins big games. Neeld (a Malthouse disciple) knows this and will be granted a lot of time to get Melbourne grinding out wins with the goal of grinding out finals.
  6. Strength & size.
  7. The older I get the more mobile my skin gets.
  8. I know for a fact that several players from a premiership club in the early 1980s hated Smith, because they thought he was up himself despite being an average footballer in a rubbish side.
  9. Black. Cloud.
  10. Amphetamines (speed, crank, meth, etc) are performance enhancing. If you get caught taking them on match days you will cop a suspension the same as steroids. How much was the West Coast Illeagles' performance enhanced? Was it enhanced? Well, compare two hypothetical teams: the Dirties and the Cleans. The Cleans spend their post-season holidays (when you are not allowed to be tested) sitting on a beach in Bali, sucking cans and Bundies, getting rat-faced and losing all fitness. The Dirties go to Vegas, don't touch a drop of booze but snort kilograms of powder and assorted chemicals, and to try and wind down, go for long runs and pump iron in the Gym. The Cleans come back and take two months to get their acts together, while the Dirties come back and everyone is amazed at how quickly they reach peak fitness, and how cut they all look. The following season the Cleans fade, experience a disappointing finals campaign and finish 7th. The Dirties, on the back of an amazing strength & running capacity win a "memorable" grand final against a fierce rival and take home the premiership cup. Quod erat Demon-strandum.
  11. Too bad I read Demonland earlier tonight, panicked, slashed my wrists, died, and missed the Mons come-back win.
  12. Judd turned down all the other suitors because he had previously committed to Carlton. Everything else was for show.
  13. Carlton have already started to tank to best position themselves to scoop Gaff.
  14. What, you mean a combination of a camel and a lion?
  15. I reviewed Valentine's Day a couple of years ago. I'd be interested to know whether you think my review matches what you think about the show.
  16. Chicken and egg? Test captains are often a team's best batsmen and on top of that, are appointed captain at the height of their powers - hence their averages will improve as captain.
  17. I still think Australia declared too soon, even though Australia won, and everything Clarke did turned to gold. Would Clarke have declared if he was not batting? If he had been dismissed for, say, 320 he would have been free to allow Australia to bat on without any potential accusations of record chasing.
  18. ~~ "How was it for you?" ~~ "How was what?"
  19. "My friends call me Tony... you can call me Bob."
  20. One guy was speeding (speed not mentioned) and the other did nothing. Public Enemy No.1 and No.2
  21. Killer fact! The lead guitarist in the Blues Brothers Band, Steve Cropper, co-wrote (with Otis Redding) Sitting on the Dock of the Bay.
  22. As if the AFL was going to find any evidence against itself… I mean, against Sydney… I mean, against both itself and Sydney.
  23. The key question: can Davey deliver goals in big games? Light forwards are all too easy to corral into the wrong spot by canny backmen. Why do you think Davis and Milne always seem to be in the wrong spot when it matters, and go missing in big games? Light players are easy to shove around. Davey must endeavour to be front and centre in traffic, not scooting into space for easy goals against rubbish sides.
