  1. Not if they don't all like AFL. They're a different breed up there.
  2. Agree. Why on earth would you split a cheersquad up in the first place!? This needs addressing.
  3. Christ! Nostradamus? Gregorian Calendar? The Bible? Just get the draft picks under way!
  4. 9. Nth Melb 10. Adelaide ...I think that's the right order...someone will correct me if its the other way around for these two sides.
  5. Yes. Just have a side full of midfielders hey? Like the Bulldogs? Yep. That will win a premiership alright. Remind me how amazing Sylvia's 2003 debut season was, please. He played 5 games FFS.
  6. I am nominating this post for the most "irrelevant" example on why a side (in this case Collingwood) would want Bruce in their side......based on the fact Bruce polled more Brownlow (Umpire votes) votes than 3 Collingwood players in the 2007 Brownlow. Yep, that would certainly tip Malthouse over the edge and give up a pick for a 29yo! NOT. Well, strike me down with a feather! Is there a category for this Nasher?
  7. Wouldn't imagine Danyl Pearce would be going anywhere. Choco adores him. Farren Ray only looks good in the Williamstown jumper when the sun is on a 45 degree angle and there is a rainbow in the distance, when the wind is blowing from the east. Go through the draft boys.
  8. I wouldn't waste a second rounder on Staker. Would you take a 'punt' on Gamble? In all seriousness he could be an option worth pursuing, not sure Geelong would release him. But IMO I would want to hold onto our top 4 picks in the national draft...1,17,19,35.

    COREY JONES

Yes. Worth looking at and contemplating....
  10. In fact he is 206cm. That is something we haven't had. Has anyone heard if Carlton are considering using their second round draft pick for Warnock? pick 23 or 24?
  11. Guys & Gals, what the mf club is calling out for is a Key Position Player, with strong leadership values. The supporters are crying out for it, the club is calling out for it, these forums have been crying out for it. We want someone who will fill these attributes, a long term prospect. He doesn't have to win the Rising Star. That is not what it is all about. We want direction. We want a premiership. We want a recruit that won't want to go home in 4-6 years time. We want a 10-15 year player who will represent the Red & Blue guernsey and that will excite us. That will provide strength, that will be a huge cog in our spine and th eclub's future. That will sit bums on seats. For the last decade and a half we have marvelled at the likes of a James Hird, a Jonathan Brown. We want class, we want a player that can play the James Hird type roles. Jack Watts is that man IMO.
  12. Will SYmonds play this summer for AUstralia? <_<
  13. Is it his looks that make you think he has "grunt?" Or his football? IMO if Carroll has grunt, Fevola is a class act on and off the field.
  14. I'm not confident. But, I am halfway there.... . As Jim has stated, there is a little more pain to come.
  15. Unfortunately they have to talk about something. They were probably referring to the struggling Aussie batsman in comparison to the recent high standards our Aussie batsmen have been setting. It's out of season for them anyway. Watching cricket this time of the year whilst Footy Finals are on is like watching paint dry. PS. 45, what happened to your Demon logo? I miss it...

    COREY JONES

Indeed. Whilst Jones is a good player. He has struggled this year and does not fit Mfc's youth requirements ....
  17. Let us get the best available in the ND with the picks we've got. If we can get another early draft choice (ie less than 25 - FINE) via a trade so be it. Then get the best young PSD pick on offer with PSDNo.1
  18. How many times have you guys changed your mind. Kicked 3 goals on the weekend, was moved into the centre as well. Was creative and showed class personified. No bad at 17yo. Almost got Sandy over the line.
  19. True.
  20. Yes. Prior to his injury yesterday I believe he was under consideration for their best 22. His selection earlier in the season probably did depend upon other players availability. Whilst he won't get an opportunity whilst in rehabilitation. Returning from injury when fit will see him gain the same opportunities he has been offered. Much like Tom Lonergan.
  21. "Failed to fulfil the promise of his debut season." - Will need to improve he's skills, gives 100%.
  22. Nathan Jones - A pretty good midfielder at 20 years of age. Gives his all. Showed some signs of wear and tear in a depleted midfield, was shown respect by opposition assigning taggers to him. Not available for trade.
  23. 2009 season. You need some sleep. Why are they now limited? Salary Cap? Do you know for sure Geelong will trade Prismall? I have seen or read nothing to suggest they will. Agree. He has been given alot of opportunity this season, especially the latter half.
  24. Absolutely...unfortunately the domination by the Zebs didn't transfer through to the Demons. As BB has said a new era begins...A new dawn.
  25. Interestingly the only publicity the Swans got in the lead up to the Sydney-Nth Melb Elimination Final was that Paul Roos was named father of the year!
