  1. Hmmm. Indeed. Can we ask the stewards to swab Carlton. This is not a level playing field it seems... I hope this is not a deja vu year. Last Year: - Storm Premiers and Minor Premiership Geelong Premiers & Minor Premiership Gary Ablett Jnr - MVP Jimmy Bartel - Brownlow Chris Judd - VISY This Year so far: - Storm Minor Premiership, Premiers? Geelong Minor Premiership, Premiers? Gary Ablett - MVP Jimmy Bartel - Brownlow? Robbie Warnock - VISY?
  2. The ball is now rolling. Hopefully he has a statement soon saying which club he'd prefer to come to. edit: Good work Demonland in merging.... edit:....Warnock has stated his management will work proactively with Freo, to work out the best possible outcome for Fremantle.
  3. Heads will roll if that happened. Trading away our Pick 1 is just not on.
  4. M.Harvey having doubts: http://www.afl.com.au/News/NEWSARTICLE/tab...px?newsId=67426
  5. R_K, have a read of this, you may feel better: http://www.afl.com.au/News/NEWSARTICLE/tab...px?newsId=67426
  6. Mark Harvey now uncertain about retaining Warnock. The ball is in Warnock's court: http://www.afl.com.au/News/NEWSARTICLE/tab...px?newsId=67426
  7. Taking off my Dees 'bias' hat for a second. You can certainly understand a kid, 21, out of contract and wanting to be a part of a premiership side, that he would be looking at a Carlton, even a Richmond , and seeing a nucleus there that would be attractive to young Robbie. Hopefully he was really impressed by the Dees presentation and the trump card in playing along side his brother is enough to sway him to Melbourne. Don't start me on VISY and Pratt's influence.
  8. We had 5 wins I think you will find. Remember? Had we lost to Carlton we would have had a priority pick.
  9. R_K, nothing is over the line until it's a done deal. And it won't be until after the season. We'll all know for sure at the conclusion of trade week, ie If he slips through to the PSD.
  10. $650K-700K for White, sh!te! That's even more mind boggling. As you've alluded to, $300K per year for Warnock is a good investment.
  11. Just as I thought Haydo. Good write up too. If they're looking at Vickery too, they'd be looking at him for the next pick I'd imagine. Which means he could go between 10-20.
  12. Cheers Bazza for the report and all your write-ups, all the best at Sandy.
  13. Geoff Lawson has left Pakistan it was reported on SEN this morning.
  14. Yes the three players polled more than Bruce - not the other way around, you were quite right. It was lacking that day. Still, it was an irrelevant example nevertheless. In answer to your question, in all honesty I don't think Bruce would be "significantly better" than many of Collingwood's midfielders. I rate Pendelbury, Swan, Davis, Lockyer highly. In the next 2-3 years Bruce will not be as good. Thus it will not increase their chances of a flag IMO. And I don't think Malthouse would look twice at obtaining a Bruce approaching his twilight.
  15. Seems to have been around for a while now, yet has just 48 games to his name. Though at 21 years of age, still has plenty to offer. His best is very good footy but he needs to become more consistent for his form wavers. Having been dropped for Round 22 hopefully jolts him into action over Pre-Season and sounds warning bells that he needs to work hard on his game and improve in many aspects. Look forward to him being a solid contributor in 2009.
  16. Nice tribute WJ. How sad they had missed the three-peat by Sandringham.
  17. I tend to agree with this BB. Plant a seed and watch it grow for 10 years I say. Invest over time..Ie $5m a year for 10 years to build a foundation. If they put all their eggs in one basket initially, they risk it falling over or spending alot more to keep it afloat or re-planting a seed again further down the track. I understand the AFL's objective but IMO they can still go there, it's just that better planning is required. It's not a case of "build it, and they will come" - for they will come initially for the launch for a peek, but after that.....If the people in West Sydney dip their foot in (take a look) and don't like the temperature so to speak they may not go in. Do the ground work first Vlad, plant the seed, add water over time and watch it grow. As you've suggested BB...introduce a 2nd tier team in that area for a start.
  18. Well Public Transport and Community transport is on the agenda. Nothing specific about a new railway station or line extension but that could come under public transport networks I guess, but nevertheless it is on the agenda for Strategic Projects.

Good point Redleg. Hopefully through connections of Jimmy & Brian's we can swindle someone in through the back door at 16. Leave him somewhere out of recruiters eyes and draft him with our last pick one in one of the National Drafts in a couple of years time? That Clarke is a sensation for the filth. I'm sure the Crows and Power have done this in the past. Playing them out in in the "back of Bourke" away from the recruiters eyes.
  20. It reads well Chop. But from what I gather and have seen on previous threads and forums, Zaharkis will go well before pick 35. Even before 17. Your 1,17,19 picks however I would be most pleased with.
  21. It's Adem Yze. Not Adam Yze! In reference to the Australian article by Greg Denham) - posted by BINGO.
  22. It doesn't make any sense to me either why Carlton would go after Warnock. Maybe they don't see Cloke & Hampson in the same light as Warnock. Who knows? Perhaps they see Kreuzer as the one to help out down forward with Fevola. Whilst Warnock can take the hit outs in the Centre for the majority. Much like the Fraser setup at Collingwood. Can't believe what Yze is believed to be on. Unbelievable. Still, i hope Warnock decides to play alongside his brother at the Dees. To be a part of the new era.
  23. New tally, almost $3.1 million. Received this from Members E-mail update: $3,086,462. Keep it going Dees!
  24. Try telling Vlad's lap dog A.Anderson that one. I think he needs his eyes checked. I wonder what they have in store when Jim says "with a Blue demon profile", got any ideas BB? Clint? Perhaps the recent Demon. Maybe BB's avatar!!! AS long as it's a RED clash strip - and not white - I'll be
