  1. Ah, there it is....
  2. You've hit it on the head, 1858. edit: Why did you pull your post 1858?
  3. Interesting stats there Ash 30. I give it 3-3 (all) with the 2008 draft to be decided who is better. My money is on Watts though. Which would give us a 4-3 edge. My breakdown of draft winners at present b/w Melb/Ess early picks: 2002 - Ess 2003 - Melb 2004 - Ess 2005 - Ess 2006 - Melb 2007 - Melb 2008 ?
  4. And that Dappa, is what makes our game so frustrating. Because there is numerous umpires, these degrees in behavioural science and body language vary when they determine their decisions.
  5. So 45h, change your favourite player already.... Good point. You're getting me excited, stop it! That was scary...jaded you better not be like this! Some say he once tracked down Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid over the Rocky's... Some say opposition players say to each other "which way did he go?"...players respond all at once, "he went that way"(pointing in different directions) I thought the same after Adelaide. Guilty as charged.
  6. Hopefully the 'tracker' can crank up again, very, very soon. :D
  7. Fair point. I suppose it's up to him for the rest of this year at least - it seems - of when he can take himself out from the microscope lens. Same goes for this topic & thread too.
  8. no doubt part of strategic success...
  9. BB, I don't think the past 3 weeks has put him in the 'thin ice' (dropped) basket. Far from it IMO. It's the fittest and strongest I've seen him. I'm sure everyone's surveillance of him will determine whether if he puts one foot wrong. Just hope the same surveillance from those on the case, can be implemented into the remaining 21 players that take the field over this 'time'. I think so too Trident. It can be called U9 and U15's development Issues (Keeping Score).
  10. He was just being modest... Of course he meant to centre it (tongue firmly implanted in cheek).
  11. One of his better games IMO, whilst he didn't nullify Cox and they both had similar stats, it was good that he held his own against the best ruckman in the league, which hopefully gives him the confidence to step up like this again and again. I'm the same. Although I can't stand Hunt. I might have put up with him whilst I was younger (ie late 80's; early 90's), but I turn him off when he crap's on.
  12. Soon as he went down, I thought of Jaded's tracker. I wanted to see 'double digits' (ie. 10+), hell, he didn't even get there.. My thoughts were McNamara too.
  13. 6 Moloney 5 Bruce 4 Jones 3 Morton 2 Grimes 1 Bennell Davey and PJ missed.
  14. Now, will you relax Digga? :D
  15. Probably won't get a better opportunity for a debut, than right now. He's worth having a look at now over the next several weeks.
  16. IMO there were bigger issues on Subiaco than the much maligned Sylvia. Did anyone see the last quarter by the way? When fatigue would normally set in, Sylvia stood up head and shoulders above his teammates. Agree. Agree. See the last quarter. PS. Forget the missed shot from 55m. TBH his contested marks were very important, his second efforts were great in the last quarter, he showed grit and determination when his side needed it. His kicks to target (all but one which fell short) were nothing but sublime and perfect. Right and left foot.
  17. The team won't be throwing games.
  18. I cannot see us winning for some weeks yet based on form. A 1-11 result after 12 rounds is very much on the cards.
  19. North Melbourne had a win. Unbelievable on a saturday night, no excuses for 13000 odd.
  20. Perhaps you two could solve each others membership issues and hook up.... It would be a win-win-win. Go Dees!
  21. You guys need to get away and relax. Couldn't agree more. With regard to the start of your post - "exponents of heaps of early draft picks = Premiership argument" (simplistic view), you are correct. Ie. Geelong and Sydney buck that trend. I will add to that, in that you could have the best picks in the world, although if you haven't got the best resources in coaching and management at your disposal, in order to create the right environment and team culture for those picks to achieve the best possible outcome - that is the best team - you won't win a Premiership.
  22. How do you figure that, when the most experienced players they had last night were just Lloyd and McPhee? The spine you refer to were sitting in the stands. I think they're on the way up, they have alot of youth who are playing to their team structure and playing well against good teams in front of big crowds.
  23. I voted No. Whilst Adrian Anderson might think it's a great idea for another new rule.....I think it stinks.
  24. Bailey did say that he would be giving our 2nd year players a decent go to help identify and better understand the teams list.
