  3. i agree arbitration follows a failure to initially agree via negotiation i disagree that arbitration is the end of any further negotiation (in some circumstances) but as binman said we are getting too semantic i originally only picked you up on the statement that negotiation by its nature is confidential i have not come across any definition of negotiation which mentions confidentiality as a condition
  4. he probably got offered more money he probably also saves a lot of travel time this will be his 4th vfl club - Frankston->Sandringham->Casey->PortMelbourne you're right, he doesn't have to prove he can play vfl
  5. only that arbitration is a form of negotiation using a third party to arrive at a conclusion during the arbitration process it is common for both parties to adjust/change their positions these processes are commonly public and not confidential environmemtal groups often negotiate with a developer or government body in a very public fashion negotiation is not limited to a business or legal context

  8. just that you made the sweeping and incorrect statement that "negotiation, which by its nature is confidential." negotiation can be confidential or non-confidential, it depends it's not just confidential by "its nature"

  19. On a slightly different tack.... Just how does this confidential info and documents get leaked? was it leaked by someone within the afl or someone in the essendon camp? and what is their motive/agenda? seems all three newspapers are claiming an exclusive
  20. did you think shortens education plan was true to the gonski report? i think you are being premature and melodramatic to claim gonski is dead we should keep our powder dry and see if the libs can deliver genuine education reform you seem to be very partisan about this and keen to point score i'm not convinced one way or the other yet, though pyne did get off to a bad start initially far too much hysteria and impatience going around at the moment
