  1. think it is much more than that, ps. jack himself has changed in his application to the game, rather than his teammates. still, it always helps to play with better teammates.
  2. it certainly looked that way didn't it. lets hope they don't play that loose or we'll get done again
  3. that's true up to a point, jnr. i'm sure though each defender has a nominated opponent to pick up when the game situation dictates it or don't you think match-ups play any part in the coach's planning and instructions?
  4. dr, there is no argument from me re the benefits to the club of money and better financial stability i just regret we couldn't find a better way that didn't involve the loss of some on-field competitive advantage, just at the time when we need every win
  5. and there endeth the sermon
  6. White 188cm 88kg......the chinese would just love those figures. Wagner 189c, 81kg. Membrey 188cm 90kg yep White looks the man. got a better leap than Wagner and matches Membrey better in the weight dept.
  7. i know that my friend. i was just cutting through all the spin and $bs and calling it for what it is
  8. spin it anyway you like macca... ...but the bottom line is we are still giving up a competitive on-field advantage for a fist-full of shekels....and that is a fact
  9. has he signed yet?
  10. well of course hurley is the big fish who would make the biggest structural difference and fill a gaping hole. worth paying big dollars
  11. and don't forget to groom the man-bun too, moonie. wouldn't want to spoil those selfies
  12. c'mon, od. first it was the "national competition", then it was "good sides" and now it's "the money". if nothing else you are good at moving goal posts.... but on your last point i can't argue. seems everything sadly boils down to the evil money
  13. od, that cliche about good sides is as meaningless as other cliches like the grass is always greener on the other side really top sides (not just good) might win almost anywhere, but we are a loooong way from being a good side let alone a top side. until we are we need to maximise every possible opportunity. now, in concession, WHEN we are a TOP side i will be less objectionable to playing home games in the nt.......but not at the moment
  14. of course it is a national competition... but the 2 nt games are HOME games where we lose any home ground advantage we might have at the mcg the national competition is reflected in the other 5 interstate AWAY games the bottom line is we lose the mcg home advantage twice against interstate sides. it could be the difference between top 8 or even in the future top 4, both of which are critical objectives for any team. it is often said the difference between winning and losing can often be everything going right making just a few % points difference. we probably give away a 5 goal advantage playing in the nt. and that is even not factoring in the post darwin recovery consequences.
  15. you want to quibble over a 3hr 50m difference in start times?
  16. nothing to worry about ethan, as long as you ditched the huggies by high school. you did didn't you?
  17. more like an andean condor. the lads should be very nervous
  18. don't mention the [censored] [censored] game
  19. probably celebrating like me - had 3 bananas already today
  20. playing in darwin is like going to cash converters. you get ripped off when you pawn your goods then you get ripped off a week later when you try and redeem your goods
  21. obsess over this all you like trisul. i couldn't give a fig. it's such a meaningless thing to waste too much emotion over. if you are really worried about political goings-on then there are much bigger fish to fry and get yourself upset over.
  22. along with half the team. goal kicking (including many out of bounds) was terrible
  23. we know. tell us something we don't know
