  1. interesting the hun (major essendrugs apologist) today had no article on this, despite a large spread on fitzpatrick
  2. can any legal eagle here explain to me under what "authority" is this person suing fitzpatrick and mclaughlin? i mean he doesn't represent the essendon club or the players and the afl is a private corporation. i seems to me that this is more an exercise to publicly embarrass the defendants by forcing them to disclose information under oath, rather than to win a court case. i'd also like to know if the defendants can even be forced to give evidence. could their lawyers not adopt the stance that the plaintiff must first prove their case and the defendants stay silent? or is that just an option in criminal cases?
  3. dimwit's " Beyond Boundaries Group" sounds reminiscent of "whatever it takes"

  6. as you know, like politics, in the media the dross rises to the top
  7. sigmund would have a field day with you, mr leg
  8. there are other reasons i don't find the comparison valid, based on my recollection of diesal's standout skills. but that's just a personal perspective and it's far too premature anyway

  15. toss up between cripps and bont, but i'd go for bont for his x factorand ability to turn a game
  16. best way to help it go away is firstly to return the medal then for slobbo et al (including gill the dill) to quit the apologia.......but i don't believe the zealots want it to go away
  17. just watched a lengthy ad on 7two for a women's footy game between mfc and brisbane for Sun 5th Feb......interesting (today being the 6th for those a bit slow on the uptake, )
  18. his manager kelly said in december "the dog ate it". essendon club said they haven't even discussed it with watson. they all seem to be giving the finger to the afl who in their normal mo seem incapable (or scared) to make any decisions to put an end to the debacle. shades of "maintain the rage", play the martyr
  19. another puke article by slobbo on watson's downlow
  20. in dollars maybe but not in trades. fyfe is fa
  21. lay off biggles, dieter, and get back to your famous 5. I preferred hop harrigan on the radio. Larry Kent at 8pm was my favourite but i had to listen to it under the blankets because it was considered too adult for me.
  22. for dieter English sailor on the radio: "SOS, we are sinking, we are sinking!"German coastguard on the radio: "Wot are you sinking (thinking) about?"
  23. he was back on 3aw again yesterday with tony jones and he said he still hasn't been to see jh nor spoken directly to him. talks via the daughter. i have read elsewhere that jh's parents split up some time again and jh sided with the mother and became somewhat (but not completely) estranged from his father. don't know how much truth in that but it might explain some things
  24. jawohl, t'be sure, t'be sure, dieter, 'tis a sweet wee sound, quite unlike that gutteral saxon
