i was going to put up a video of buckley smirking, but thought better of it smirking is not smiling
  2. yeah, i suppose last year was a special case i do remember in the past there was a sort of auction for the public (smallish number available) but that disappeared (don't remember when)
  3. read this https://www.afl.com.au/news/677303/afl-grand-final-general-public-tickets-sell-in-minutes-after-130000-wait-in-virtual-queue
  4. true for members. but there is still some for the general public and i think dfa is suggesting that these should be prioritised by attendances (whether as a member or otherwise) but like i said it looks too hard to manage p.s. there were 10,250 public tickets at the smaller optus oval last year, so it's a substantial number
  5. yes, i wouldn't be defencing such abuse
  6. you're right - it should be deefence
  7. poor old bowser no way to treat our talisman
  8. there's some merit in this concept, but don't know how it could be managed i get peed off with people getting finals tickets and never attending a home and away game
  9. 60 points has to be the minimum margin
  10. visy ambassadorships?
  11. just getting back to the heading of this thread is lumumba actually suing the afl and the filth? i get the impression not, and he has tweeted lately that he's now done with it and moving on with his life. or did i read it wrong?
  12. bbo? he couldn't wear down an old pair of rubber thongs on a treadmill 🤣
  13. as little as a couple of years ago i was dead set against any other time than the traditional mid afternoon. i've now come around to acceptance of a twilight time to be just as good, maybe even better. not sold on a full night game but
  14. i'd agree with you, but as you said it's just an opinion. stranger things have happened.
  15. i'm not convinced he'd be top 22 at mfc besides we've already got toby bedford
  16. c'mon macca, give it a rest before you blow your foofa valve 🥴 you're just repeating yourself. we know perfectly well where you stand re umpires.

  18. i'm sure they're not i only made the point originally that perth is a bit of a covid hotspot and i hope the club are taking extra precautions
  19. statistically, at the moment you have 2.5x chance of randomly bumping into a covid +ve person in perth than melbourne (and perth people have slightly higher vaccination rates than us)
  20. should be 60k by weekend 59,847
  21. anyway, he's a freo boy. born in freo, played for south freo sharks. freo boys don't like weagles
  22. actually, roy wa today got over 17,000 cases, the highest in the country by some margin i'm sure the club must be aware and will take precautions......i certainly hope so
  23. just check on the web where the ga seats are situated before you go, so you don't waste a lot of time tramping around the g. the attendants are generally pretty clueless
  24. i doubt the crowd will get to 40k (a guess i admit) which should leave plenty of choice to find reasonable ga seats after the start of the game you could probably just walk unchecked into many of the reserved seats areas. i've noticed there is very little checking after the game starts and certainly from qtr time on.
  25. as long as he's not dropping his head INTO an opponent, but lowering his body to EVADE an opponent, i'm ok with it there's a big difference between into and away from it's not his job to make it easy for the tackler. evasion is his strong point and he's entitled to max it.
