  1. But you're much too intelligent to do that rpfc . . . . aren't you?
  2. Agreed. Or any other club for that matter! Guess you can't please everyone
  3. I know you were joking, but you were also extracting a large volume of urine, if you get my drift Cheers
  4. Maybe chook, but if all our fans were as passionate about the red'n'blue as WYL we'd be a much better club for it. Think about it.
  5. You winding me up old dee? Anyway, my comment re stars wasn't serious, just having a laugh with WYL No objection to little bits of white in accessories, afterall the numbers on back are white, there is white on sponsor logos and there is white away shorts (though on this I don't understand why). So some small white stars don't faze me. Still, we haven't seen them yet, or have we?
  6. Left footers also seem to kick with a wider arc than right footers, and find it harder to run in on a straight line to the mark when taking a set shot. I also get the feeling that many left footers kick better on the run than on a set shot, though this doesn't apply to all left footers. Anyway these are just my impressions, I have no theories on why though
  7. Bailey also said captain won't be announced for a month or so (no hurry) and named Bruce as one of about 5 who are in the mix Make what you want out of that
  8. I suppose the extra finals games for Collingwood (cf prev year) would be worth at least 200,000 (2xGFs) That in itself is nearly equivalent to 10k per game So if the figures are just total season attendances the 20% is more understandable If it was per-game I'd expect it would be less than 20%
  9. Sorry Old55, I've said all I wanted to. Whats done is now done Love your optimism
  10. but he's not on the rookie list because he's a rookie and needs development in recent years there has generally been no problem playing a rookie list player as a mature age player, for all intents and purposes he is on the list he is a list clogger with no future who is depriving us of trying someone else (P.S. i'm not saying its his personal fault re decision to keep him) anyway I'll not say anymore about Newton, whats done is done, and i'm starting to sound like a player basher which i don't like. Maybe i'll have a word or two to Mary Mac instead (does she perform miracles on request of athiests?) P.P.S. can you imagine what mess we would be in re rucking if the russian hadn't dramatically reversed his fortunes. not an area the fd has excelled in recently
  11. Old Dee I,ve gotta disagree with you re not getting a gig unless there are big man injuries At the moment he is the 2ndRuck/Fwd. Thats why I said I hope the ND/RD/PSD throws up some alternatves I don't mean to knock Newton, but you'd have to believe in fairies if you think it just won't be more of the same old As you can tell, I am very disapponted
  12. I think Juice Newton should be renamed Phoenix Newton 7 years! This guy has got to be the luckiest footballer going around As for insurance, once you deduct the excess you'll wonder why you bothered My big hope is we pick up better insurance via the ND/RD/PSD, please at least some alternatives, I don't think I can go another Newton year P.S. nothing personal against Newton, he just aint got it and I'd rather risk a long shot
  13. or play him in the ruck?
  14. The FD must have a mature age ruckman and/or 2ndRuck/Fwd in their plans for ND/RD/PSD ?????
  15. Maybe he'll be beleivable, maybe not A clarification re preprepared answers. This doesn't mean a word for word answer it might (should) mean a series of generalities. e.g. re the so-called "sex-romp". The advice would be along the lines of "admit it", "don't blame others", "accept it was a mistake and you have learnt a lesson", "don't try to justify it" etc etc. Obviously a word-for-word parrotting of someone else's words would be a dead give away Everyone in the drafting business knows of his past issues so they will be sussing him out closely. Rather than the details of the known past indescretions (which he and they know will be asked about) they will be trying to assess his general personality going into the future. Some clubs will just stay clear no matter what, others will be more interested. Interested clubs will no doubt rely on their own interviews on top of the DC psych analysis. In the end I'm sure he will represent some sort of (off-field) risk to whoever drafts him So is he worth it? I tend to think if he presents reasonably in the club interviews, then yes, draft him if available I'd probably prefer Lynch, but I think he'll be gone before our first pick
  16. I didn't say there was no point in giving him a psych evaluation (including questioning) I was referring to his known discretions where he would have preprepared answers (provided by others) so on these events you are likely to get spin and not understanding A good questioner (evaluator) however should be able to guage his personality by asking questions he couldn't really prepare for. Assuming of course that the people doing the psych evaluation are trained and know what they are doing. There is also legislation restricting what a psych test can and cannot do. Bottom line: You mileage may vary
  17. C'mon E25 You don't really think a few questions about his indescretions will reveal anything do you? He would have been "coached" on what to say by his manager and a cast of 1000's
  18. might be a moment to titan_uranus ?
  19. help - i think my thought waves are being hijacked should i change my anti-virus provider?
  20. you've gotta get yourself outa Canberra rpfc and mix with some real people don't you realise that the newspapers are part of a world wide conspiracy to . . . (sorry can't go any deeper they may be monitoring)
  21. Hahaha, The problem with you really really intelligent people is that others are not intelligent enough to understand you Can I answer that in 2-3 years time?
  22. maybe he was dropped because it was "poor form" by the coach? . . . or the newspaper?
  23. Huh? You must be kidding, right? On 2nd thoughts, I suppose it depends on what you define as "deceptive" or a "good read"
  24. I think Art and Travis may be the same person Odd how they have never been seen together!
  25. Drop your stupid "herd-pack mentality" comments. There may be a small element of it but it is insulting to us who can think for ourselves, and it just make you look like you are clutching at straws because your arguments are not getting traction. There is no need to get so unctuous FWIW when I originally heard Trapper might be available on the cheap it did occur to me it might be worth pursuing. However it didn't take too much thinking to come to the conclusion that there were more potential negatives than positives (and yes he does offer some positives). And BTW Einstein, just where do "people formulate their opinions from" that gives you so much "enjoy"ment?
