  1. Mate, if he's not there representing any organised religion and not proselytising, let it be - there are more important issues. Seems he is just a volunteer who loves his footy and is prepared to use his professional life counselling skills to those players who voluntairly seek him out with personal issues they don;t want to raise with club officials or others Seems pretty harmless to me. No reds under the bed there
  2. Juice is a rookie and should will play all year at Casey
  3. I expect we will still be ripping into Cameron the Bruce for the next 12 months
  4. don't encourage people. it'll be like opening your christmas presents before xmas day
  5. my comment on debate was only about me i.e. where i'm not prepared to go in any follow up and i can heartily recommend an afternoon nap. you can see the beneficial effect it has on me how did this silly thread get started anyway? oh thats right, its the off season
  6. Whoever started this dumb, masochistic, self-flaggelating, defeatist thread is the obvious answer
  7. Gold!!! They're unadulterated poppyc0ck, and YOU know it! I refuse though to get drawn into a debate on religion/atheism Just rememember there is only ONE true religion and it wears red'n'blue (except in clashes of course)
  8. rpfc, just read your last 2 posts i think its time for your afternoon nap
  9. can't argue with any of that Bob. certainly a good 10,000ft view, but there are many who won't be satisfied until they get the 10ft view, their axe ground and their bull gored.
  10. For those of you who haven't met our club chaplin this is what he looks like, here he is. As you can see everyone can now relax.
  11. I used to be an athiest too rpfc, but then I became am MFC supporter
  12. OK, lets not muck around, we are Melbourne, lets get the top man. Notice he is ready, already got the clash strip on with the red yoke
  13. Or more cutting edge, how about the Rev Jim
  14. Make that TWO topics that should be avoided/banned on sports fora - politics AND religion Amen
  15. Is it true that Irememberwhen @ Ology is Albert Langer's alias?
  16. Having Campbell/Jamar deep in the fwd line (90% of time) is going to keep one opposition gorilla occupied and away from key fwds Provide more physicality and protection for young developing fwds Bring ball to ground for crumbers more often Potentially provide 2 goals per game collectively Allow Jamar to spend less time on ball avoiding over-exposure and burn-out Have a genuine relieving ruckman making midfield more effective All this assumes Campbell is injury free and up to AFL fitness levels Of course I could just be dreaming and getting carried away
  17. Well option 1 is potentially suicidal Option 2 is on a wish and a prayer You've convinced me Campbell (if his fitness/knee holds) is a good chance to change with Jamar (maybe 60/40) with rests mainly on the field (pref FWD for mine) with minimal bench time (say 90/10) My 4c worth
  18. My father in-law(dec) always referred to an rrrrz as a jacksy/jacksie/jaxsie/jaxy (origin, british slang) I thought you'd all like to know that
  19. I asked sylvinator that before but got no response
  20. super, I can't wait for 2011 season maybe for leadership development we could put beemer in charge of expectoration training? (but not fornication I hasten to add) Edit:Sp
  21. So that would be the expectoration expectation factor.....right?
  22. Whats with this "pine" you keep using? Is it GenY for "spine"?
  23. But this article is a followup article to the original. Check it out. "Clarkson confirmed a report in the Herald Sun yesterday, saying the Hawks knew "towards the latter part of the season" that Bruce wanted out of the Demons, through several ex-Melbourne people in the club's football department." This i) tends to confirm story ii) indicates it was originally during the footy season not after. This is a new twist (at least to me) iii) occurred before the so called Junior (and Miller) "treatment" This thread could get a new life?
  24. All the more reason to think he might like to stay at a team thats going to win a lot more games and enjoy being part of that. Its not like the club is going backwards ffs. All the good stuff happening at the club in what would be his final year(s) and after 220+ games and MFC life membership he says sorry not interested in that I'm going to the Dorks for less money cos I might be a able to jump on a flag bandwaggon Sorry old dee, he's perfectly entitled to turn his back on the club and walk, I can respect his time at the MFC, but don't expect me to hope he wins a flag at the dorks ffs. I don't wish him good luck or bad luck. Whilst he plays for the Dorks instead of the Dees he's nothing to me
  25. Things looking a little unsettled at a few of the front-running clubs. Cracks appearing everywhere. Aints, Dogs and Cats. Will be interesting to see if it translates on the field next year.
