I know, we could get everyone to kick torps and hope a melbourne player's on the end of it, and if not at least it takes a little longer for the opposition to score!
-
I reckon we'll go close to 33,000 and we'll be carrying 3.5 million less debt. Things are on the up! Oh, and yeh, Frawley will be playng pretty well
-
I'd prefer a game plan lid out to win a premiership, with trading and recruiting of players who can follow it
-
No lets take the word of that fat ignaramus BT over the coaches and say he was worst on ground. Whether we like to admit it or not Cam Bruce is one of the best players at the club, a long way in front of everyone's favourite, Wheatley, now called "The Pancake Maker" for his unparelled ability to turn it over by hand and foot when it's hot

How many people here were actually at the game?

And the point of this thread is??? -
I don't think anyone at the club would be considering trading a 20 year old with so few games and so much upside. Although at the moment the names Garland, Warnock, Martin, Rivers sound like a solid backline we can't be sure. Injuries, lack of further development and it could all quite easily fall apart. Frawley has loads of potential and just needs a few years (that's right a few years) in the system to find his feet and his position. He grew quickly and would still be coming to terms with his size. Patience is not a strong point of Demonlanders. This yeam has developed alot this year but progress may well plateau over the next 1-2 years, as is often the case with young sides. It won't be until 2011-2015 that this team will be competing at the top. Frawley will quite likely be a big part of that. So will Colin!!(sorry, couldn't help but show my allegiance to Col)

Can we talk footy rather than this absolute rubbish
-
So He played and the results were mixed. Took some good grabs, kicked poorly, failed to back into a player and spoil and was probably not hard enough at the ball. I would imagine the coaching staff would be working on 2 things. 1. His kicking. 2. His attack on the footy. It's like he doesn't realise that he's quite a big lad. He needs to be forced into some really strong competitive work at training and get used to slamming into blokes ala Nick Riewoldt. He has a fine mark and if he had the courage to leep into packs he could be quite damaging as a forward. He's going to take time so you all need to be patient and back him to suceed. Yelling out as some of you do at the footy that he's soft and a dud is probably not going to help.

He had a bad game. Word is his groin's upto no good again and he could be sitting out the year.

Was there but that stadium isn't fit to wipe the scrotum of our magnificent MCG. I don't blame Dee's fans for not going, I only went because I'm obsessed with the team this year. -
It's not stupid, we should jump at an appropriate trade. WE CAN NO LONGER ACCEPT BEING MEDIOCRE. We must keep pushing harder and harder until we win a premiership
-
No it landed in the arms of the opposition, they marked it. Yet another Turnover at the boot of Wheatley. He may well be in our top 5 B&F - No wonder we're bottom with 1 win. Get over him
-
All I'm saying is that he is slow and his skills aren't great. I'm happy for him to prove me wrong nut he's got some work to do
-
Classy! You must be kidding. If that's class this club is finished. The torp went down the throat of an opposition player. 2 of his kicks went directly to the opposition. 2 were smothered as he tried to kick the ball through a set of arms. As for his handball skills, forget it! I didn't want to end up bagging the guy because he puts in, which I admire. What I'm saying is that he's not a premiership player. Period!
-
He did, This is what we're up against on this site!
-
No I want to trade or delist players who aren't going to win us a premiership! Simple. You may be happy with the mediocre performances of the last 10 or so years but I'm over it, it's boring and we deserve better. I state clearly that Newton might not make it, but as a key forward with a great set of hands I rate him higher that those who are older, slow and just plain ordinary. ie: Green, Jones and Wheatley. And please tell me, How many HBF's do we need?
-
Stupid, how so?
-
Youse a turkey!!!
-
Green - 27 could package him up with say Wheatley or Bell and maybe score a first round pick Jones - Full respect for Nathan but he's not an elite midfielder
-
Wheatley - Trade, you're all kidding yourselves if you think he's good enough. Green - Trade, only player worth something Bell - Trade, obvious Jones - Trade, slow, can't kick, can't handball, move him on! Chris Johnson - Trade (how many half back f---ing flankers do we need!!!) Whelan - 1 more year Newton - Give till end of 09 to prove himself. Can play, will take some time, but may end up no good. Martin - centre half back Miller - centre half forward Spencer or Warnock to be blooded next year Build a team around Miller, Davey, Mclean, Wona, Bate, Sylvia, Dunn, Garland, Warnock, Buckley, Martin, Frawley, Petterd, Morton, Grimes and then use draft selections and trades over the next 2 years to complete the team
-
He just needs to attack the footy harder and use his size to open packs. Forward line seemed a little disfunctional with him in it. Happy with Martin. Gave Minson a complete bath in only his second game. Now this kid can play.
-
Mid 09 B: Bartram Warnock Frawley HB: Rivers Martin Buckley C: Davey Grimes Morton HF:Garland Miller Bate FF: Watts PJohnson Maric F: Jamar Mclean Jones INT: Petterd, Dunn, Newton, Valenti
-
I think he should choose Dean Bailey and Jim Stynes
-
We're going to need to raise more than this!!
