  1. Maric Watts Bate Jurrah Butcher Miller
  2. Newton will never, I repeat never, make it at AFL level. The guy is a below average VFL player. How anyone thinks he will perform at AFL is absolutely beyond me. He is one of the biggest spuds currently on AFL lists.
  3. How good is this club becoming.
  4. That reads very sweetly
  5. It's a pretty reasonable analysis. But I think because of the age of alot of these guys I've allowed for "potential" to be taken into consideration. Category A (By this I'm talking of the range of elite down to excellent, say Hird to Lyon if that makes sense. All A grade but still some difference. Davey, Watts, Grimes, Morton, Blease, Maric, Garland, Frawley, Scully Category B (Here I'm talking about players who are rarely if ever dropped. Often in the best list and occasionally match winners, think O'Lachlin from the Swans) Rivers, Martin, Green, Bruce, Jones, Petterd, Mclean, Moloney, Bennel, Jurrah, Warnock, Strauss, Jetta, Sylvia, Wonaeamirri, Bruce, Butcher So by my calculations our list is in excellent shape. With players of this age you have to allow for potential in making these summaries.
  6. I like to think all our draftees say this
  7. The club's in serious rebuild. It's struggling for positive exposure and is forced to do things like this. I say good on them, it's about time Melbourne marketed itself in such a manner. To say Watts doesn't deserve a game is ludicrous. We're developing a side and he will be a massive part of it. If Cale Morton can play then so can Watts. Name a better match for him to debut. Full marks to the club and up yours if you don't agree.
  8. Watt the f@@k was that!!
  9. 16 kicks, 6 handballs, 8 marks, 1 goal 100% effiency His 1 goal will come at the 22 minute mark of the last quarter to put us 4 points in front. 55 out on the run 45 degree angle, members side of the ground. Punt road end. How good will that be.
  10. 61,509
  11. We'll be fighting the Doggies for this one. After the Mission Foods debacle let's hope we can get this wrapped up and secure our furure right here in Melbourne, and of course Darwin!!
  12. Get it done!!
  13. Do you know him?
  14. IN: Jurrah, Watts, Newton, Robertson OUT: Miller, Johnson, Bell, Whelan Let's put a forward line in the team and see if we can kick a few goals. Be nice to show the Pies what they missed with Liam.
  15. A new position espcially for Jack. The Wong - between the wing and onball
  16. Much prefer Butcher to take a massive grab and kick a goal from 65m on the boundary to cap off a 55 point turnaround. I just don't understand why you would want to win a premeirship from a dodgy freekick. It should worry you that you think like that.
  17. I'd say we'll see all the possible delistees playing over the second half of the year. It gives them all one last chance. Those who in my opinion should go at year's end or would probably be on a "possible delist" list include Wheatley, Whelan, Robertson, Bell, Dunn, Jamar, Meesen, Newton, JMac, Zomer(rookie) Hughes(rookie) Clear this lot out we'd have the youngest, most potential filled list in the league. Tough decisions ahead.

  19. Dribble. It doesn't hurt the club. It makes absolutely no difference to anyone that a few Forum posters know club information a little early.
  20. Looks like Dean Bailey has stamped his authority on this team in a big way, Great move, should of been done by Daniher before Robertson thought it ok to behave like a galah.
  21. STOP PRESS: Melbourne team released 2 hours early. Oh my god the club's leaking like a sieve!! "DeeGirl arrested and asked to name source"
  22. Good Team. Sure would jam things up if Belly starts playing good footy again
  23. Depends on what colour his jumper was!
  24. At 21 Jones has his best footy ahead of him. His work ethic seems fantastic and I believe he has a real thirst to improve. I'd persist with him as I think there's still alot of upside to his game. He needs to work on using his hips better to shake more tackles. He's often caught in a very upright position which gives him little chance to use the strength in his legs and hips to bust out of a tackle. This will improve with experience. Would need to play alot worse to be dropped.
