  1. Take it easy, I've little doubt you cheered Richmond's win, there's not alot of difference.
  2. Throw in Scully, Blease, Strauss, Watts, Bennell, Jetta and co and away we go!
  3. Let's just change TEST to 2 - 3 weeks and we're done
  4. No, what is relevant is getting Tom Scully plus pick 2 or 3, that's what matters. Rich was picked in a "super draft" and had another club had pick 2 or 3 he would of gone earlier. The other thing you haven't noticed is that Rich might win the rising star but it will be Watts who dominates the game in year's to come
  5. Let's not sing the f###ers theme song though.
  6. Had the coaching staff tried we would have played Sylvia and probably rolled them by 6 -8 goals. Our list is young and I'm confident we'll be a strong side in the year's to come.
  7. The thing is they don't know we're coming which is going to make it all the sweeter for us. Fancy labelling yourselves "They know we're coming!". and then not really "coming" Not even most Carlton supporters think their list is good enough. Once Judd wears out and Fevola explodes it's all over.
  8. We were 2 seconds from winning that game. Bailey's holding back a pretty willing bunch of competitors. I'm hoping their foot will fall off the pedal. Can't wait to see us with a full fit list to choose from next year. We'll be alright.
  9. One of my concerns is that we hold them back for another loss this week and then we roll Freo. 4 wins, Carlton next. There's not a player in the comp who wouldn't want to smash Carlton. This is the danger game for mine. I think North will beat us, but Carlton makes me nervous.
  10. Great to see us pissing people off already, just wait till we start winning.
  11. Tough to get much shrewder than the last few weeks. It seems injuries are helping us. If Morton and Moloney can stay out for a week or 2. Then take out Martin, Rivers, Whelan, Bennel and replace them with McNamara, Bail, Hughes and Buckley. Throw in Newtank, PJ, Valenti and winning is going to be very tough, even against Fremantle. I'm feeling safer by the week. However Carlton are a real danger game, moreso than North.
  12. I'll take $100 on that. Odds? If that's what you see as a "bloody good team" I'm guessing this has been a good year for you
  13. It is the question. a) yes, as a supporter I believe that winning a flag is the sole reason for a club's existence
  14. Yeh, but you've seen a flag, Most of us haven't.
  15. One way to work it out is to ask the players. Let's, as a club, tell them that premeirships aren't our sole aim. Tell them that the members, sponsors, community groups are just as important, premeirships are just a "bonus". Just give us a "good, competitive effort". How many of them do you seriously think would resign with this club. If you don't tick A you're kidding yourself. Do you seriously think Jack Watts is here to settle for the odd finals game. Just think about the absurdity of that scenario. Jack Watts, age 33, premeirships 0, but plenty of "good, competitive efforts" He's playing at Essendon or Collingwood or Carlton inside 3 years with this mentality. If you are still unsure what do you think Checker Hughes or Norm Smith would have answered.
  16. That's easy. Robertson McDonald Bell Wheatley Johnson Buck.....I mean Dun.....no ummm.....Whelan, yeh Whelan. Phew! As a gardner would say, after 3 fruitless seasons there's not as much dead wood to cut!
  17. The point being that had we won one less game in 07 we may well have picked Rich with our PP, thus he'd be playing for us. Something that would be giving us alot more satisfaction than beating the Bulldogs or Carlton in 07 did. By the way it's not the supporters, we all want Melbourne to "win", but the AFL have installed a system whereby by only winning 4 games we also "win". It's just our definition of "winning" that is different. In 6 weeks we can all look forward to a few seasons without worrying about this.
  18. Am I the only one to think that we're in a fish bowl
  19. OUT: Jurrah (injured), Morton (playing too well, sore thigh) IN: Bail, Hughes. That should just about do it!
  20. With your man Juice in the team it just ain't goin' to happen
  21. Not one of them wouldh've got us Jack Grimes.
  22. It's a fair point you make but noone's really upset by his form it's his second efforts, or lack thereof that have become a problem for myself and others. No doubt he has been a loyal servant of the club but in a young team he needs to set the example in regards to effort and application. Lying on the ground watching the backmen run off him is not acceptable. The way Scarlett played him at Geelong is fair proof that he needs to retire. He's never been a favourite of mine but I'll hold onto some good memories.
  23. What did you see? I don't understand
