  1. That'd be 6 Brownlow Votes
  2. Watts, Grimes, Blease, Jurrah, Frawley, Garland, Morton, Scully, Strauss, Garland, Bennell, Maric, Petterd,Pick 2/3 2009. We need 6 of these guys to step up. The ones in bold are seemingly the most likely, 2 of them play for us, the other should be playing for us next year. Our second pick this year should be elite but we don't know who he is, let alone if he will be elite. I have high hopes for the others on this list and think we will be a good side in a few years, will we be good enough, well that will depend on our top 6. Do you think beating Port will help you sleep Dappa?
  3. RELAX DUDES, We're not going to win 5 games, the club isn't that stupid. Port are [censored], we're still playing for Jimmy. The Cats will beat us and then we can go back to losing. Scully and pick 2 0r 3 and away we go!
  4. Time for Bed old boy
  5. [censored], you got that right, this whole season was shot before it even began
  6. The only people who think Carlton have a bad smell are opposition supporters. Do you really think they'll care if they get to hold up the cup. For [censored]'s sake, most of Carlton's premeirships have come this way, including when they had the bulk of the Essendon team conscripted to the army in WW1 and went on to win the premeirship. They are ruthless and play this game to win. It doesn't matter if Melbourne lose all the remaining games, noone will even notice, let alone care. And you know what, these same people won't be surprised if we win 5 games and lose the PP, they'll just laugh at us again and say once again we've blown it. You see if we win we lose and I for one am sick of losing. You can go off and watch us chalk up a few more meaningless wins and walk away with I don't know what but I actually want us to lose. You know why I want us to lose, because for once I want us to WIN.
  7. I want us to lose because we need the picks. Does that make it a win win situation
  8. There's very few players good enough to do this. I reckon we're better off teaching him how to excel at one position than become a jack of all trades ala Holland.
  9. You quite clearly aren't reading my posts
  10. I would of thought that the club would be much better off finding him a position ( forward in my opinion) and playing him there, rather than shifting him all over the ground. As it is he'll probably be required to take on some ruckwork.
  11. I think Frawley is good enough to play CHB. Remember he's only 21 and won't be at his peak for another 3 - 4 years. We can't afford to be chasing anymore backmen. We have bigger holes to fill in the middle and probably 1 to fill up forward. I think Martin willl be groomed to fill that hole in our forward line and do some ruckwork as well. This will allow us to go after 2 class midfielders this year. Rivers will only be expected to take the third forward. As a club we're banking on Jamar, Meesen and Spencer to take on the future rucking roles. All our fingers are crossed on this. The potential is there but will they make it, let's hope so.
  12. Time for the kids to takeover. F: Maric Martin Wonaeamirri HF: Watts Bate Jurrah Thanks for the memories. Robbo is not the player to teach our youth, nor does he have sufficient talent left to compete at the level required of an experienced AFL player.
  13. I've watched Petterd closely this year as I didn't no what all the hype was about. I think he has potential, he's fearless, a strong mark, good handballer, kicking is ok and he keeps presenting. I hope we keep him, I think he'll turn into a more than handy player.
  14. It was an emotional day and the footy was pretty tough and uncompimising for awhile there, I certainly don't applaud him for it but I'd hardly bust his balls either. Rather than brainless and crude I'd probably call it hotheaded and careless, but hey, they're just words, the action is done.
  15. And I love the fact that people still view the game as a win at all cost scenario. I hope the AFL will soon return our great game back to that very scenario. All the best and enjoy the wins.
  16. Spot on, great to hear from you again Bob
  17. I'll say it Kat, if we win the next 2 games I hope we TANK for the rest of the season. In fact I'll call for Bailey's head if we don't
  18. That's just the point Kat, we are playing to win, that's why we we will lose at least 18 games this year.
  19. Using the word tool in football terms only
  20. Bring him in, he's the ultimate "list management " tool, and I mean tool.
  21. He comes in the PSD or not at all. Picks inside inside the top 20 are worth more than gold this year. I actually don't see we he fits in our planning.
  22. It's called being a showpony
  23. F: Wonaeamirri Martin Maric HF: Jurrah Watts Bate Then there's Sylvia, Davey, Jetta, Morton, Green who can all play forward We need to pick midfielders with picks 1 and 2
  24. Where do you find this vision?
  25. I'm not just talking about your idea of "success" There's parts of life that you can control and there's parts you can't. Some of us get the breaks, some of us don't, call it what you will, I'll call it luck. Do I get it? No, life's much bigger than that for me. As for unity, I'm totally behind this club, I've supported it all my life and I love it. Unity, which you so nicely put in bold, doesn't mean I agree with everything I read on Demonland. Sorry if that upsets you, it wasn't my intention. My only intention was to express some thoughts on the current situation. And then to clear up some other posters lack of understanding of what I was saying.
