  1. Rivers has just played an injury free season, will get a full preseason and now we want to trade him. Not necessary, he's going to be one of our best in year's to come.
  2. Not sure he was a loose canon but he was and is only a good VFL player
  3. Jack Watts already plays for us
  4. In comparing the forwards I looked not just at their ability but the ability of those around them, hence both Richo and Grant are above Lloyd, who has benefited from superb delivery for most of his career, something that can't be said of the others. Lucas was never that great, just a good forward in a mostly great team. Whilst I can understand those who have Lloyd at the top I'm not sure how one puts daylight between them. Richo Grant Lloyd Neitz Hall Tredrea O'louglin Lucas Rocca Robertson
  5. Careful HT, your post has nothing to do with the thread and may be deleted Seriously though, I found it by searching MFC Avatars on Google. There's some good ones out there. By the way how did you get the players pictures for an avatar?
  6. I'll third that. Really love hearing that about Bailey. This club needs to regain it's passion, hardness, and uncomprimising ways if it is to succeed. Personally I think we're in safe hands.
  7. I hope you're right. Would love him to work his butt off and become a handy player for us.
  8. Nick Riewoldt, well noone's perfect
  9. B: Rivers Warnock Garland HB: Bennell Frawley Strauss C: Bate Grimes Blease HF: Morton Watts Sylvia F: Jurrah Butcher Davey R: Martin Scully Viney INT: Maric Spencer/Meesen Mckenzie Wonaeamirri
  10. Jack Viney will probably get a game
  11. The whole club, from the President down are talking about the 3 picks in the top 20. Not just that if we were beating either of these sides we could just let Judd and co to run free, give Saint Nick a bit of extra space and it's good night Demons. Picks 1 and 2 are in the bag, absolutely guaranteed, lock it in, we are just too smart these days.
  12. You argue semantics with another poster about Robertson then agree that he should be delisted, hence I didn't see the point in your previous 6 posts, that's all.
  13. We have to when considering the current question
  14. Robertson was a solid contributor during our last "thereabouts" period. He's 30, well past his best and has trouble keeping his spot in the bottom team. He can't be kept to guide our younger players because the example he sets is not what Bailey is trying to instill in our new recruits. Personally I can't think of a good reason not to bring another 18 year old onto our list with an eye for the future. Remember it is here that this club has failed in the past and can ill afford to anymore. This is not meant as an insult to his career. That's a No from me.
  15. Mclean can't become the Captain on form alone. Green - not sure he holds the respect like Davey
  16. I'm not discussing our retiring Captain but who should be our next captain.
  17. The longer this year goes on the more and more I can't see how anyone else can be Captain. He's a leader on and off the field. He's far and away our best player and he's got the respect of his teammates and the wider football community. He'll be our most senior player next year and deserves the honour. In 5 years when he retires a premeirship captain of the MFC Watts, Grimes or Scully will be well situated to takeover. Anyway you look at it, he ticks all the boxes.
  18. The Saints don't need a wake up call to beat us. A few of you need a stiff drink and a lie down. Scully's in the bag.
  19. We don't have any chance against the Saints. The priority is all ours.
  20. 6. Davey 5. Morton 4. Rivers 3. Valenti 2. Bate 1. Jurrah Rivers - wound the clock back today. A full preseason and he could well become what he initially promised - Very exciting Morton - cool, composed, strong marks, great rebounds, all class Davey - Wow, that was truly exceptional Valenti - Great game, Is it enough for another year, time will tell Bate - moving very well, looked pretty good below his knees today and it was wet. Jurrah - Had to give him a vote just for that goal. Special mention to Dunn - kept Pavlich on a tight leash, provided some strength and dash, may have turned a corner
