There is no way this can happen. Wait for the backpedal tomorrow. -
AFL involved in Port Adelaide/Essendon Draft Rort

This cannot happen. The precedent that this would set would cause mayhem. And in essence it is no different than Mitch Clark's contract being paid out and signed off, the only difference being that our club are pure victims didn't undertake a PED program. Just cannot happen. -

Hird: I want to clear my name by making sure that any evidence never sees the light of day. It's all about the players, I really feel for the players. Except for Ryder he can get [censored], same with Hardingham and Winderlich and that little [censored] Kavanagh. -

http://www.afl.com.au/news/2014-10-08/buckley-set-to-meet-varcoe?utm_medium=RSS Probably what's holding our trade up.. -
How many of the games best ruckmen or ruck/forwards were top ten picks. A lot of the better ruckmen and ruck/forwards are picked up later or as rookies. Because of their slow progress they are ideal rookie projects. I am a believer in picking up genuine mids or very good key position players in the first round. There are always exceptions.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JEFF GARLETT

Kevin? He was a great pick up from Oakleigh. -
While he shows a lot I too don't think that early in the draft is the place to pick up a speculative tall. At the place that we are at I am recruiting the ball magnet who ticks all the boxes in contested footy and skills with foot and hand. The bloke who is coachable and has a good head on his shoulders and is willing to work. Just keep picking those guys untll we have the luxury of playing with the speculative guys in future seasons, or pick them up later in the draft.

Allen Christensen purported to be on the move North to Qld. Can't remember an off season where so many contracted players have wanted to walk from their clubs. -
This is spot on in my opinion. Might have all of the tools but is mentally not up to it.

We get H for Clark. The rest of it means nothing to us. If we can keep our 3rd and 4th rounders for Garlett and Frost and use 23 in the draft or even in a later trade then that is a win. -
Wow dude you have a real girlfriend? What's that like, must be cool!

Thanks rjay but not basing it on the highlights but on what I have seen and heard. He is a solid and smart player. -

Yes Tony Lockett could take the ball in the air, rag doll full backs out of the way, crash packs and had vice like hands. He was also a dead eye kick. Personally I think McCartin is rated too highly due to a dearth of quality KPFs in the draft. But maybe he will be the next Lockett.. -

I am not sure about Mcartin. Looks a solid forward who can take a mark on a lead or in front with a little bit of pressure from behind. Kicks well. What else can he do? He may end up a star, not sure he shows star quality yet. -
A good boner cannot be underestimated. I like my fillets bone free.

Really not sure what you blokes are angling at.

Not sure but Pickering did mention that he knows a few blokes at the club so that could be right. -

Sorry about the whole wasting of two years and a super high draft pick on me. I just feel like my time would be better served at the reigning premiers.

Any link between Malceslki's signing at GC and Hird playing senior coach again? -

The way I see it we will need to do a player trade for either Frost or Garlett, we won't have enough picks. -

There was a time when he was one of the top small forwards in the game. Carlton were much more dangerous when he and Betts were up forward and in form. A new environment and Paul Roos may re-ignite him or might not.
