  1. Thats the plan, its on the MFC website.
  2. I am with you to a point but there is nothing wrong with a punter making an observation that player 'A' doesnt work hard enough, or kick well enough, or hit the contest hard enough. Its part of being a football supporter and making a judgement. When stuff starts to get personal or ridiculous as it often does here it can be hard to take. Will Sylvia make it? the evidence suggests he has an ongoing problem with discipline and doesn't work anywhere near hard enough to get to contests. On most of the occasions I have seen him bar a couple of times he does not do the required work to impose himself. Melbourne people are frustrated with him and I would include the club themselves in that assessment. I want the switch to go off in his head and see him start to work hard on the ground I hate bronx cheers, I don't think Melbourne people generallly get involved in this sort of crap. Richmond and St Kilda supporters are the best at it.
  3. Sorry, wasnt in a position able to get into the nitty gritty of it, would have liked to. He is confident of playing this weekend without any restriction, reckons he is right to go. Then again the players themselves aren't always the best judge. It is obviously not a stress fracture as reported in some of the media, I imagine it was a back strain which may have signalled that he needed to rest up to prevent the onset of the stress fractures occuring again. I guess he and the club will see any back complaint however minor as a warning sign. Be aware that I am just surmising this bit. I understand your question and concern and will attempt to find out more.
  4. Brock is either injured or not match fit. I guess DB could have given him a couple of runs at Casey to get match fitness and touch but with our long injury list and lack of leadership are reasons I am guessing he has gone with the latter. PJ is also one that looks hindered and sruggling for fitness, again withour lack of big men DB is hoping he gains some fitness and starts to move a bit better. Mclean will improve IMO with game time. PJ is a little more of a worry, he looks to be really struggling and we don't exactly have a plethora of big men. And Tony, Newton won't be delisted at years end, got a 2 year contract at end of last year which left many scratching thier heads.
  5. I vouch for its accuracy 100%, unless the man himself has it wrong or has a setback this week.
  6. Yeah i grew up in Broady and u 14's is about right. I agree with you 100% about our midfield. We are screaming out for a classy player who can run all day, win clearances etc.
  7. Some good news!! The plan is to have Jack return thru the VFL this weekend or next weekend. Hopefully he gets thru the game and we can see him in the red and blue soon. The info is straight from the horses mouth.
  8. How would you change the game plan? What would you do differently with selection? How would you control this list? In what way is Dean Bailey not progressive? How would you hide skill errors????? Very poor post. You make a number of ridiculous judgemnet statements and offer no alternatives. Are you a genuine Melbourne man or some rabble rouser trolling for a bit of fun or to try and destabilise the supporter group. I don't have a problem with people criticising our coach but reading and re-reading this post leads me to believe you are up to no good. I think we can do without threads like this and I hope most see it for what it is.
  9. Very interested to hear how Franky is going. I am very concerned about his injury and whether it will mean a prolonged absence from the game. If any of the pundits who go down to training spot him, a report would be greatly appreciated.
  10. Strange this one, does anyone know anything??
  11. Yeah, word. I'm over it too.
  12. I reckon that if they are not injured and underdone as I suspect they are, they will continue playing them to run them into fitness. The problem with playing Spencer and Meesen is that I cant see either playing as a legitimate forward, they are athletic wanderers of the ground, not programmed to take the big mark. Alas PJ isnt too dangerous at the moment either, but guessing given more game time DB will be hoping to run him into fitness. Mclean will keep his place and given a few more weeks will start to get his fitness and touch back, if he can stay on the park. If we could clone 2 more Daveys ie pacy, skillful, midfielders we would be far more potent. In Bennell we may have disovered a small piece of the puzzle. He has had stopping roles but looks destined to be the designated carrier/kicker from the back half.
  13. IMO PJ is not fit, whether he like McLean is underdone or if he is still struggling with his hip. He is not moving well at all.
  14. What the! Where did you pull that from?
  15. Time for you to get a clue or go back under your bridge.
  16. Get a grip bud. "Worst side in 30 years". Starting to challenge YM for the king of the outlandish statement.
  17. I expect our young team to play with aggression, to chase tackle and pressure the opposition. I expect our team to play with vigour running and improved skills. I expect one of our solid backs to hold Motlop and one of our young boys to frustrate Burgoyne every time he goes near it. I expect our team to kick goals. I want to see some fist pumping and some bum slapping. I want to see some spirit and confidence grow in our team as the game progresses. I want this game to be step one in recovering our lost respect. I want to see and improved showing from Brock, time to step up and be a leader in the absence of Junior. I expect to see one of our young boys excell and excite us. I want to give those PA a*&$*s hell. Mostly I want to see Chad Cornes, Warren Treadrea and Mark Williams have thier pants pulled down and get booed off AAMI stadium in humiliation and embarassment.
  18. Or we could try and be positive and hope that we get all of our injury dramas now while we are no chance and have a completely injury free 2012 when we make our tilt.
  19. For X Factor I am looking to the aboriginal boys, particularly Jurrah and Bennell. I see something in Bennell and I wouldn't be surprised if he plays out most of the season in the ones.
  20. Its the 30 year bit that lost you credibility, perhaps 10-15 might have been a little more accurate. I saw the teams of the early 80's. We are better than they were.
  21. Really, what is the second worst?
  22. I would like to say I am surprised. Unfortunately our system sees this occur regularly for a number of reasons. In crimes of violence such as this one bail should not be granted in my opinion. I can tell you that the defence would have put forward a number of arguments not the least being that the defendant's bail conditions will prevent him from being in situations where he will offend again. It is also likely that he was on bail for a different offence, probably drugs or dishonesty which may have made a difference. But I am only guessing It may even be possible that the prosecution were less vigorous in thier opposition to bail because of co-operation of the defendant ie admissions and information regarding the co-offenders.
  23. Disagree sorry. I don't think Newton is AFL standard. Unable to stand tall in a contseted situation and not particularly good on the lead spilling his marks at the vital moment. I hope he kicks eight a game for the next three weeks at Casey then comes in and blows our mind. Can't see it happening
  24. And for new supporters you certainly know your footy team Peter and Judy.
