I hope it's Simpson. But, like everyone else here, I wholly defer to the judgement of our Jedi Master.
-
Please let us know the terms ...
-
For the spend, I think we can do better than Thomas. Swallow, Adams, Atley, Selwood, Conca, Sloane - they're the types we should be targeting IMO. As an aside, Daniel Cross is an absolutely no brainer, and I reckon we'd have to be in a very good position to land him.

MFC's Virgin Australia Film Festival Video

Tear in the eye material. Makes you proud of the club. Well done Jack Watts and Nathan Jones - truly exceptional stuff. -
What's with the smoke and mirrors stuff?! I actually couldn't give a stuff who anyone is to be honest. In fact, I regret asking the innocent question in the first place. This is the type of posting that turned me off Demonology in the first place. Ironic really.
-
I don't know one poster here, so sorry if I don't know the bleeding obvious about everyone's actual identity.

Paul Roos on 5AA - Tyler as list manager?
Ron Burgundy replied to Indeed's topic in Melbourne Demons
Top post. Makes sense. I think Trengove will turn out to be an extremely good player for us - but his apparent lack of form in recent years has puzzled me. Perhaps this explains it. -
Do I detect irony here Ben? Are you Hannibal?
-
Demonology died years ago. Does Hannibal post here these days under some other pseudonym?
-
BH, I regard you as one of the best posters on this site. It's possible, however, that your assessment of Watts is not entirely on the money. Surely you should reassess your view on Watts given Roos assessment of him, particularly given that you clearly rate Roos.
-
I'd like to see a term incorporated into Watts' new MFC contract that he be obliged to sack Connors as player agent and retain the services of someone with a brain. I will be very, very happy to see Watts and Sylvia re-commit to this club. Fingers crossed.
-
Convincing Daniel Cross to join us simply has to be a no brainer.
-
I question whether it'd be that funny ...
-
I am continually intrigued by the irony of things ...
-
How he slipped to pick 18 or so in last year's draft still intrigues me.
-
According to OTC tonight, Shaw, Maxwell, Thomas, Lynch are also on the outer. The Pies will need another tall to help out Cloke. Ironic really. I'm happy we landed Dawes.

Colin Sylvia is yet to decide if he will remain at Melbourne
Ron Burgundy replied to Romey's topic in Melbourne Demons
Re-read the first two sentences of your quote that I referenced above. Following that logic, Frawley, Trengove, Grimes, Clark etc would all be fair game to be traded. In short, Matt Jones and Dean Terlich had good seasons. How and why that means Sylvia should be traded - well, I don't get that. -

Should we let Frawley go too? -
Mike Sheehan wearing a Demons scarf!

It's up next folks. The next guest OTC is the coach of the MFC. 2 mins and counting. I'm pumped. I bloody love Paul Roos. He's AFL's Dalai Lama.

I totally agree. And I want to see a senior player actually leave the club on really good terms - not to end his career at another club or with angst directed at the club a la Junior, Rivers, Moloney, Yze, Robbo, Green, White, Bruce etc. The way we've handled our senior players over the past 6 or so years has been absolutely bloody hopeless and it really highlights how poor the culture has been. Geez I hope Sylvia re-signs and ultimately ends his career with this club. -

I really hope Sylvia recommits to the club. -
I hope we land Simpson. Sounds like the perfect fit to me. That said, I defer to Paul Roos on this. In fact, I defer to him on everything really.
-
And, relevantly, Toumpas will be an elite player. In due course.
-
To my mind, Simpson seems to be the type who fits what Roos said the club/he's looking for as a successor in the press conference.
