Welcome to Demonland Matthew Jefferson
Of the forward line ? Not sure that's Burgo's one wood

Welcome to Demonland Matthew Jefferson
Fence, if you truly, truly love Jeffo the way you say you do, surely you'd prefer the young man made his debut in 2025. WHEN THERE IS A CHANCE THE HOPEFULLY NEW COACH OF THE FORWARD LINE HAS SOME CONCEPT OF HOW ONE OPERATES RATHER THAN DUMP THE LAD IN THE SHIITSHOW CURRENTLY MASQUERADING AS OUR ATTACK !!!!!

Christian Petracca’s 2024 Season Ending Injuries
He went past mine the minute he got out of surgery 🫤

Dan Houston
Hope not. That was a schiitt act I'd hate to see us replicate.

What was your excuse?
Retro round isn't it ? Certainly reminded me of the old days. A whole row to myself on the wing and plenty of room on the train

2024 22Under22
Same. You hear him speak on SEN every 2 weeks and he's such an impressive kid.

2024 22Under22
That was fun. Jeez I left some good players on the table. I guess Jye Amiss will learn to live with me giving him the lemonade and sars in favour of JVR 😁

Trade Targets
Or they win it & he decides to move onto a new challenge. I'm sure there's a certain jumper number we can keep vacant for him

Goodwin is the MAN!
There was a video of Josh Mahony doing a presentation which covered our pre season. Can't remember if it was the whole team or the whole midfield. But he did point out that only 2 players had completed full pre seasons. Pretty sure one of them was Jordan Lewis.

CASEY: Rd 19 vs Footscray
True. He played today like he'd already retired

CASEY: Rd 19 vs Footscray
I'd have preferred Hunter was gifted his 200th tonight. Then the Bulldogs could chair him off rather than our blokes.

Caleb Windsor Could Miss the Rest of 2024
Bugger !

POSTGAME: Rd 20 vs GWS
Correct. His only real option was the chip and chase kick - Billy Slater style. Which is not much of an option. The Rivers one is one of my pet hates. Blokes calling for the footy while running themselves into trouble. Don't call for it - just keep running to space where you can receive a kick.

Petty Re-Signs for 2 Years
Very much this. I know the majority want him returned to defence but I'm keeping the faith. I reckon he could be a 35+ goal KPF given a decent run with fitness & injury. Folks remember his big game against Richmond but there was more to his season than that. His improvement week on week when he started playing forward last year was impressive. Running & leading patterns, getting to contests, presenting as a target etc. Unfortunately each time he really got going he was struck down with injury. I'll go to my grave believing we were a fit Harry Petty and / or Jake Melksham away from winning the whole bloody lot in 2023.

Petty Re-Signs for 2 Years
There was a media story a couple of months ago that was the opposite. That the Crows had contacted Petty again & not got the response they wanted. Seems he cooled on them. Caveat being - AFL media so a pinch of salt may need to be taken

Petty Re-Signs for 2 Years
A plan so cunning you could stick a tail on it and call it a weasel

VOTES: Rd 19 vs Fremantle
6 McVee. Stood up under fierce heat. Kid is so composed 5 McDonald. The wide vision on TV was damning. On transition the only bloke running with intent was 94 year old TMac 4 JVR. Sadly is the second best ruck at the club. Competed against the odds & showed a bit forward 3 Petty. Sadly is the third best ruck at the club. Competed against the odds & showed a bit around the ground 2 May. Had a crack, showed some passion & comittment 1 Billings. Also damning. Did more in a half than most of our mids contributed for the game

Comings and Goings
Luci / R&B forever's contracts thread is usually spot on. It has Hunter's contract ending in 2024
-
Comings and Goings
I recall an interview a few years ago where TMac said he'd like to play until he was 35. That was before his most recent foot injuries. In a couple of interviews this year he's stated that he's treating 2024 as his last year and he was determined to enjoy it, whether he was playing at AFL or VFL level. I think he's surprised himself and the club with his form this year. If his body holds up for the remainder of the season, I doubt it would take much to convince him to go around again

NON-MFC: Round 19
Towards the end of the second quarter I thought I was a chance to enjoy a 10 goal Essendon loss. This was much, much better

CASEY: Rd 16 vs Essendon VFL
Well that's taken a bit of fun out of proceedings
