Late to the party Bills, Bucs, Rams. Barring a last minute transfer back to Candlestick Park

  3. By the time Templeton got to us his legs were completely shot. Couldn't jump, struggled to kick over 35 metres and rarely ventured far from the goal square. Despite this, he still managed to jag a few bags including 8 against his old team out at Arctic Park. Prior to his leg issues, he was an out and out champion for Footscray. A mate of mine was a Bluebagger & I agreed to go out to the Western Oval to watch them take on the Dogs. KT kicked 9 from CHF and in doing so, completely shredded champions like Doull & Southby. Along with Robbie's 17 contested marks against the Tiges, it remains one of the most impressive individual games I've ever seen.

  5. Just to take both us & the Dogs out of the equation for a minute. Not a fan of Grand final rematches in Round 1. It's a waste. The reigning premier could play anyone & their fans would turn up in droves for the unfurling. You don't need big numbers of oppo fans - it's gonna be a huge crowd celebrating anyway. Far better to have the rematch after 4 or 5 rounds. And if both teams happen to be undefeated leading into that clash, then you've really got a blockbuster event !

Yep. Thought not one of my strengths KC, Atlanta, New Orleans

  8. You can see from his draft tapes Sparrow wore 32 for both SA and South Adelaide before getting it at MFC. I reckon he already has an attachment to it
  9. Leaving mine in the bottle seems the right call then. Might surround it with premiership merch
  10. HOW DROPPING THE “COOL GUY” PERSONA PROPELLED PETRACCA TO THE NORM SMITH CP5 has a good chat with Jack Reiwoldt & Tim Paine on SEN Hobart. Also touches on his relationship with young Lucas Peters & an upcoming fundraiser for muscular dystrophy.
  11. What did you expect him to say ? "Yeah I'd rather go to Melbourne but we couldn't get a deal done. Effin' spewin'. Looks like I'm stuck at Carlton with Crazy Vossy. Can't believe the Tiges didn't have a crack. Even the Bombers could have put their hand up. Ah well, better go massage Paddy Cripps groins & see if I can get the broken down hack back up to help out next year. Catch ya in Lygon St after lockdown !" FWIW I thought he worded it pretty well. Pushed up his new club, showed respect to ours. Also, I doubt it was a monetary issue. A few weeks ago Fox Footy's Tom Morris (if you give him any cred) said that we could afford Cerra in our salary cap as we'd made provision when we were pursuing the interest of Zac Merrett. I guess a chunk of that cash will go to Jacko now which is no bad thing

  13. If Dunstan comes to us then he's backing himself in to be more than just depth. Good on him. Go your hardest son. Makes sense for us. Viney aside, we were KOTD with injuries to our starting mids this season. And after Sparrow & Jordon at 22 & 23 in the team, who is our next best mid ? Who can come in and play there immediately (don't say Melksham - he's not a mid) without us unbalancing our preferred line-up ? We don't have much now that a couple of our warriors have moved on Competition. Sparow and Jordon saw off challenges from the likes of Jones & AVB this year. They can't rest on that. Hopefully they read these reports & think "you're not getting my [censored] spot pal" and it spurs them onto be even better
  14. I get the "Box Office Buddy" thing as all eyes will be on him until he's kicked the 1000. But Sam Walsh ? Box Office ? Fantastic young player, amazing work rate. Gets to contest after contest. But he's about as exciting as a cardboard box !
  15. Sometimes you have to stop & draw breath to appreciate what you've just seen. Kozzie Pickett kicked 40 goals for the season. Top 20 in the league. 68 scoring shots. As a small forward and in his second year of AFL footy. I reckon that is phenomenal
  16. Go to the pinned post @Cassiew at the top of the forum GF videos etc It's an absolute treasure trove
  17. You absolute champion @Dees_In_October. Thanks so much. Agree this should be pinned
  18. Any of the 5 Robbie Flower kicked in the '87 Elimination final - our first finals appearance since '64

    I'll have what he's having !
  20. I've already consulted Hawk supporting mates on lessons in being smug. Also asked if they had any training manuals for smugness as they won't be needing them in the foreseeable future I might be getting the hang of this
  21. Thought he showed a bit when used at CHB for Casey. Looked more composed, good ball use by hand & foot. Surprised a player of his size has been released on the back of so little opportunity to develop.
  22. I'm not a fan of retiring numbers although "resting" No.2 for a couple of years might be appropriate. We've rested No. 2 before after Robbie retired. As I recall - and @picket fence might remember, Flower wasn't comfortable with his number being out of action. Eventually he went to training and asked the playing group who thought they were good enough to take it on. A young blonde winger stuck his hand up and said "I'll take it". And Stephen Tingay carried on the No. 2 with great distinction. Maybe Jonesy can anoint his successor in that great jumper
  23. Loved him. Had No 26 on my jumper when I was a little kid.
  24. Breaking my "do not post when [censored]" rule. How good is our club How great is our team I love everyone Time for more replay & Guinness
