Dwayne's Most Watchable in 2022
I get the "Box Office Buddy" thing as all eyes will be on him until he's kicked the 1000. But Sam Walsh ? Box Office ? Fantastic young player, amazing work rate. Gets to contest after contest. But he's about as exciting as a cardboard box !

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - KYSAIAH KROPINYERI PICKETT
Sometimes you have to stop & draw breath to appreciate what you've just seen. Kozzie Pickett kicked 40 goals for the season. Top 20 in the league. 68 scoring shots. As a small forward and in his second year of AFL footy. I reckon that is phenomenal

I've already consulted Hawk supporting mates on lessons in being smug. Also asked if they had any training manuals for smugness as they won't be needing them in the foreseeable future I might be getting the hang of this

Farewell Austin Bradtke
Thought he showed a bit when used at CHB for Casey. Looked more composed, good ball use by hand & foot. Surprised a player of his size has been released on the back of so little opportunity to develop.

Number 2
I'm not a fan of retiring numbers although "resting" No.2 for a couple of years might be appropriate. We've rested No. 2 before after Robbie retired. As I recall - and @picket fence might remember, Flower wasn't comfortable with his number being out of action. Eventually he went to training and asked the playing group who thought they were good enough to take it on. A young blonde winger stuck his hand up and said "I'll take it". And Stephen Tingay carried on the No. 2 with great distinction. Maybe Jonesy can anoint his successor in that great jumper

Vale Greg Parke
Loved him. Had No 26 on my jumper when I was a little kid.

Ch 7 Footy Marathon??
Got a bit jumpy after watching training this arvo so I settled myself by watching Jaka & Ox highlights. How good were those blokes. I've also got the Robbie Tawny Port but I suspect the contents have aged worse than I have. If we get up tomorrow I might just leave it in its nice presentation case and build a shrine around it.

Thanks Jonesy - Retirement
I hope Max's comments from his press conference on 11/9 ring true when Jones & his legacy are remembered "This guy's a warrior and has set this club up to be in this position. He won't be remembered for the Melbourne of old, he'll be remembered for changing Melbourne" Thanks Chunk

Sam Weideman re-signs until 2023
Pretty much my thoughts Dazzle. Our preferred forward structure includes two KPFs plus Jacko & Fritta. Given our 2 current keys forwards are approaching veteran status, we would be mad to punt the Weed as we have no other young KPF on the list. If one of BBB or TMac go down, at the very least Weed can fill a role.

Adam Cerra
Same. Mahoney had a remarkable capacity to turn what we want into what we need. Hopefully he left his playbook lying around

Channel 7 Pre Game Promo?
My first hope is that we slay this curse once & for all this year. My second hope is that it's replaced by the "Clarkson Curse" which can stick around at Hawthorn for 50 years or so

How I feel about other supporters who want to jump on our journey
I'm gonna assume you're too young to remember 1987 when we made finals after 26 years of [censored]. As we progressed it seemed like the whole city was on board with us....and it felt great Embrace the positives WoK, even the bandwagoners. You'll enjoy the ride even more

POSTGAME: Rd 18 vs Hawthorn
Hahaha. I think you'll find your self-adulatory posting had its genesis long before the Collingwood game. I've no problem with your opinion nor your analysis. It carries no more or less weight than anyone else's on an anonymous fan forum. But your neediness is concerning. Help is out there. Seek it. Or, full length mirror
