From the financials. An operating profit is very different to an reported profit.

Annual accounts have been released. Puts an end to a grim year for the club. https://resources.melbournefc.com.au/aflc-melb/document/2024/11/22/8b9ff1d8-7937-4b5c-ac7d-a19869da7ae9/Annual-Financial-Report-2024.pdf
  3. Can someone clarify if we can list Noah Yze? Surprised no one has asked JT.
  4. Great video with our two new boys! Good to know they'll both have a buddy early on.
  5. Can we rookie Yze today? Surely we do. There’s a player in there. A nice project.
  6. Reminds me a lot of Mitch Clark. Absolutely worth a look with such a late pick.
  7. Shane McAdam is a fantastic person. If Adelaide is a world away from Halls Creek, then Melbourne is another planet. I hope the break back in Halls Creek has refreshed him for another tilt at it. I know he did some training with Ash Johnson Jy Farrar and Bobby Hill - which is at least something. I’d like to think we are a club who support our own when they’re down, and that should extend from the 1st player to the 45th.

Kalani White wants to play for Melbourne
  9. The mail is that JT is a big fan of Hotton and that a knee reco in his draft year wouldn't necessarily be a deterrent. This being said, I was told we'd draft El Hawli in the mid season.
  10. Langford & Hotton.
  11. Anyone able to get down there?
  12. You’re welcome.
  13. The skills in the age group in which he's work with are quite strong. McVee, Bowey, Rivers, Windsor, Pickett, Woewodin. To my eye the skill execution deficiencies lie with Viney, Oliver, Trac (At times), Lever, Gawn and Hunter.
  14. Maintains a fantastic relationship with all players and staff, performs role of development coach very well, specialising in skill/decision making areas and has an overall positive influence on morale, ethics. 👍
  15. Wish him well. Delivered 21. Made slight progress on facilities. Financials are strong. Culture is not and that’s sword any organisation lives or dies on.
  16. Sestan has resigned on the main list.
  17. Impressed during pre-season training, outperforming some of our seasoned forwards. Started the year well in the Coates league before an injury. Never kicked on upon his return. His raw talent will see the club find a spot for him. Plays like Kyle Langford.
  18. Kozzys home is absolutely in WA - Quairiding. It’s true that he is homesick and has some genuine reasons for wanting to be in Perth. it’s also true that he loves the club, coach and playing for Melbourne.

    Gut feel is he re-signs

We have definitely put our best foot forward with this one. I think it's GWS, Adelaide and then us (without really knowing).

    Peatling decision expected today 🤞

Clarry told his management he would like to see how this move could look/work Happy to stay but assessing his options. Geelong surely wouldn't have $1M in cap sapce to pay him with Smith coming across.

What a shame. I think we were possibly the first or second club to offer him 4, so you can’t say we didn’t give it our best.

This is a rather assured take from Mark, who doesn’t indulge himself in innuendo (as far I can see) and who also has strong links to identities on the Caulfield side of town. It is hard to believe that the club would release the news if it wasn’t at least sure that funding could be secure by some trusted means, albeit timely news to settle a disgruntled supporter base. I can’t help but feel the Glen Eira serving face of the campaign is very flawed. I believe this a project that will truly indulge only the MFC and very vaguely the racing club. Private investment through Yourland has been explored and knocked back. Perhaps there is someone else willing to front up.
