  1. Pick 22. Aker went for 29. If we got 10 for Robbo and 21 it would be pathetic.
  2. No matter what i don't see Judd going to the Tiges for nothing, it just won't happen. While i share some of your enthusiasm for getting Judd i am a little concerned that we give too much and hurt the list. If it means missing out on Judd but getting good quality kids instead I will live with it. Look where the kids took the Pies this year.
  3. With the retirement of Clement and possibly Buckley, Burns and Wakelin, the pies can have room in their salary cap. The big questions will be, will Judd nominate them and who can they trade outright and to get high picks, to satisfy the Eagles.
  4. Maybe he has been told or believes that he will only get another season out of his body and he is looking for a payday. Maybe he is only looking for security if his form tapers off. Who knows?
  5. And if he chooses us, so should we. I am not interested in getting one star player at the risk of stuffing up our list and future. Clearly pick 4 will be gone and that will cost us a potential topline player who may have 12-14 years ahead of him. If we clear Robbo and another fringe player to the Dogs for pick 5, it should be retained. If CJ wishes to return home and WCE want him he can be part of the deal. That would mean that another player or pick 21 will go. As long as we can live with the player leaving that is OK but I would not clear another young player with a future like Frawley/Jones etc.
  6. Agree, I acknowledge our youth, I just would like to see some more faith in them from the new Coach and also some additions.
  7. If you have a look at the ages of the Pies players you will see the future the club has. For example their fullforward line was Thomas, Cloke and Rusling, all 20. Add Pendlebury and Goldsack also 20 and Clarke 19 and you can see the future of their club. I didn't rate them as a great side but with their pace and enthusiasm a lot was accomplished. We have been reluctant to play the young, even our last game this year was an example. Hopefully Bailey will show faith in our youth and recruit or trade for some more. With the delistings we have made, more room will be available for younger players.
  8. You mean he cheated, by trying to win a match, instead of losing deliberately like Carlton?
  9. You know who said it " Chrissie Amphlett and the Divinyls".
  10. What does he eat for Breakfast? Sorry, I was just getting sick of the hundreds of threads on him.
  11. I actually wasn't limiting the thread to Judd. There are other trades that can be done.
  12. I was just thinking ahead and wondering how we will all be feeling at 2.05 PM on the 12th of October 2007 when the trading period has ended.
  13. Don't know much about him, but he could have talent and still not get in the Geelong side with their 9 All Australians. He obviously has height and as you say he can play at both ends. Agree he would be cheap to get and should be looked at which I am sure CAC would have done already. We will see which players we target in trade week and PSD draft.
  14. One factor that I haven't seen mentioned is the new facility that we will have when the Olympic Park Precinct is opened. It is said to be better than the Lexus Centre.
  15. Why do you have to ruin a good tale with facts?
  16. Very sad news. Only reading an article about he and his daughter last week. Condolences to his family and friends.
  17. One little error in your summary, Kreuzer and Cotchin will not be at the same club. PS. Hope we play Hawks in Round 1 , no Hodge, Crawford and Lewis.
  18. It wouldn't matter because no one would have tackled her and she could then always swing onto her natural right foot.
  19. I think you can eliminate Pies and Hawks as Eagles won't want Judd costing them a flag by being BOG against them in a GF. Also Eagles have a very poor relationship with Pies and would push Chris to one of the onther clubs. I still believe the deal is done with Carlton but we are certainly the opposition. Essendon do have a couple of Perth boys in Ryder and Gumbleton and their first pick with those two could tempt the Eagles.
  20. Can't wait to see Becky spending her honeymoon at Trevor Barker Oval watching the Dees summer training. Congrats and all the best Finks.
  21. Yes and no. WJ and myself were bleating all week to play our untried players like garland and weetra and a couple of seniors could have played with Sandy. Sandy would then have at least made the prelim final. As far as the dees go as I also said if we had played my wife at Full forward and my Mother in law at CHF we would still have won. Carlton would not have lost even if we hadn't turned up. It was always going to be a Melbourne win. If we don't get Judd I hope the Blues do get him and that the costs in salary and the trade are horrendous for them. Remember the Eagles will want to trade Judd to a club where he can't hurt them in the finals and the Blues won't be there for years. if they sacrifice good players and high draft picks it will be harder for them especially if Judd's injury lingers. I can't see him going to Pies or Hawks. Blues if we fail are the club.
  22. He may be the same source used by the Carlton supporter i spoke to. If he is correct they have a leaky Board.
  23. I love Robbo and will hate myself in the morning for saying this, but he is about to turn 29, has had several injuries lately and is playing a selfish brand of football. He doesn't do any of the 1%ers. He flies for marks against team mates in a better position. He shoots for goal from impossible angles and ignores players in a better position. That said I would like him to stay, but if he insists, I don't want another Bizzell deal. Maybe he would look nice in Red, Blue and White.
