  1. Very.
  2. Great team effort by the Dees today. Some of the play on football was a delight to watch. It was extremely heartening to see guys close enough to have a shot passing to others in a better position. The 1%er's were clearly evident all day. The Dees never let up at any stage and deserved their strong win. We were able to throw guys around and at one stage all frowards went back and the backs went forward with little change to the result. I am a great believer in team over the individual and therefore won't name anyone other than to say everyone put in and it was a very good win making it three on the trot for the Dees. Congrats guys and well done to Rollo ( Peter ) for his organizational and goal umpiring skills. PS. An innovation this time was WJ's blackboard and maybe in time we will learn how to use it.
  3. Only one thing missing in the article, "the solution".
  4. Well that won't happen. I'd make the approach. It probably already has been made.
  5. My gut feeling is that we know who we will be drafting ( certainly PSD and 1st Rookie pick ) already. We can watch others at other clubs and not disclose our interest.
  6. Rhino, unlike you to hold back, tell us what you really thinkof the Wiz.
  7. Why the hell not?
  8. Nothing on TV last night? Good post.
  9. Forgetting all the baggage arguments the simple fact is he is a 30 year old who hasn't played in 18 months and whose last 20 games included 3 serious injuries. Why the hell are we discussing this?
  10. That would be closer to impossible than a miracle. Wouldn't it be great though. It would make it hard for the AFL to ignore us.
  11. Nothing will happen. Pratt is now not an official just a supporter.
  12. What about kicking the Swans into a grand final off his own boot and playing in a premiership with them? I know a lot of people who could crow about that.
  13. Would it have helped if he was shown laying bricks in the photo. He did say he would keep trying until he was 25 to play AFL. Does a quote or mis quote in the paper change the boy's ability?
  14. Would be good for us as more youngsters to pick from in Rookie selection.
  15. I believe you can.
  16. Thanks for that explanation. I have edited my post to reflect it not being a statement from Zebraman. Apology to Zebraman that I misread the post.

    Sponsor

What a great opportunity lost for a sponsor to be blazed all over the TV and press in the last few days. Watts was everywhere and the publicity would have been fantastic for a sponsor. It is not getting easier to get one. Hopefully we will soon get some good news on this front. The revenue is sorely needed.
  18. Doesn't the word "committment' speak for itself? If there is an agreement in place maybe the MFC would be happy for the City of Casey to pay damages and compensation for a breach of it.
  19. Don't think you have to nominate a boy for him to train. That only applies to delisted players. We could invite several boys down who have not been on a list before to get a feel for them if we wanted to.
  20. Of relevance with Jetta and Bennell is that both indiginous boys come from the same club and area and will join brothers in Whelan, Flash and Aussie at this stage. They should feel welcome and adapt fairly quickly given that scenario. Bail a former Melbourne boy appears so dedicated to playing AFL that he would move to New Guinea to play.
  21. I also only know him from the You Tube and a few enthusiastic posters. However he doesn't have to be Lance Frankilin who is one in a million. As 40th player on the list if he can be as good or better than Miller, Newton and an injured 30 year old Robbo then it is a winner. We are not picking up Wayne Carey with PSD or rookie picks but rather boys that might just improve enough to be able to play AFL. If they were potential stars the brilliant recruiters would have already drafted them. If a boy has size, a bit of magic and some upside, then he would have to be a candidate at this stage.
  22. Given some of those picks are likely we are in the position of possibly getting the next two boys we want with 1st pick in both remaining drafts. I wonder if we are likely to invite our possibles down to have a close look at them or maybe keep our cards close to our chest and watch them at other clubs.
  23. Disagree. If form allows I think Bailey will seek to make a statement. Jetta might be the one to get an early game. Bail has the physical side covered if he is good enough. More importantly I would love to see Spencer start dominating for Casey.
