Third I have posted on here previously that Jones holds on to the ball too long and that Moloney is a one trick pony. West may be able to improve both of these guys and that would be a huge plus. I don't believe Paul Williams improved either of them.

My anger is with Carltank not CJ. They are scum. They offer our developing player a fair whack of cash and offer his club nothing in return. They prefer to steal a player rather than trade for him. As I have said earlier we join a list of clubs including West Coast, Freo and Port who are waiting for the chance to pay them back. That day will come. I also believe players are entitled to get the best for themselves especially in these times where they are traded on a whim.

This story would be guaranteed to hit the papers. Say we are looking at Cousins with our our pick number 1 in PSD. A few days later we get another story saying he doesn't fit into our plan for the revival of the Dees. Then point out some of the guys we are developing, McNamara, Cheney, Aussie, Spencer, Maric, Grimes, Martin, Garland etc.

That is the positive in this story.

First, we were not offered anything for either player during trade week. Second, CJ was not a scapegoat. He actually had his best year for us playing about 10-11 games before being injured.

Well I hold the opposite view. Here is a Coach who gives a stuff. He was obviously disappointed that CJ was leaving and that he was going to a club that had twice beaten us to players that we had chased hard ( Warnock and Judd ) and that he was going for nothing. He let his emotions show in front of some of the players. Good on him. We have put 4 years into Chris and while I accept him leaving and even that we offered him as a trade for the right deal, he has gone to the most vile club in the AFL. They are so vile that despite offering him a fair amount more money than we could they weren't prepared to offer us anything reasonable in exchange. Steal him is their method. I hope that the other AFL clubs target Carltank players in the future and make life bloody hard for the constant cheats. I know West Coast ,Freo and Port already have them on their list and we can now be added to it.

I really dislike only one club and that is carltank. I personally hope they finish 14-15th for the next hundred years if they last that long. I don't want them to finish last as that would give them some joy, looking forward to the first draft pick. Nothing personal against the boys but I hope Warnock and Johnson play poorly for them as well.
