Off to the GC next week and playing in the hottest part of the day. We are certainly getting no favours from the AFL. I would take the youngsters and give them another game and some travel experience.

I posted a while ago that it was very possible given the GWS talent, that he might struggle to make their team, if their best players were available. I haven't changed my opinion. Of course, with his huge salary, like Folau, he will continue to get games.

Guess I will have to take the blender along as well.

Bit hard when 2 out of 3 weeks we are not on TV in the NAB Cup, yet the power clubs are on every week.

My meal replacement shake tonight was, yes you guessed it, banana flavoured. Actually it was ordinary.

Apparently they are now investigating us for starting WW 2 and assassinating Presidents Kennedy and Lincoln, as well as causing the plague of London and the destruction of Pompeii. PS. Caroline Wilson has a source and knows we are guilty.

Boys obviously got into the bananas on the flight over and thrashed Port by 2 points. With 21 players out compared to Port's 15 out that has to be encouraging, especially as played in the heat at Renmark. I would imagine the Dees team next week at Casey, will be completely different.

As some have posted on here already, don't be foooled by Eddie and his mates bleating about the equalisation situation, when they say they are sick of supporting poorer clubs. It is actually the poorer clubs supporting them. I spoke to one of our Directors yesterday about this issue and the major factor at work here is the fixture. The big clubs are given extra money by virute of commercially lucrative draws and the spin off that comes with that. The poorer clubs are condemned to fill in spots, that will never help their financial position. Distribute games fairly and the money flows, but of course the AFL won't do this, because of its vetsted interests. The argument needs to be brought out into the open and stop Eddie and his mates from hijacking it, with their spin and BS.

Disagree. I saw most of Rod's games with us live and if not, on TV and I thought he was hard at the ball and the man. I never saw him shirk a contest. Also saw him cop a few injuries for actually going hard at the ball. He was hard and tough at the footy. As for the Mew incident, he connected the back of Rod's shoulder and knocked himself out, not even a free kick and nor should it have been.

Looks like the GWS have signed up at least half their list to extended contracts. Don't think the other clubs are going to be able to raid them as easily as they thought.
