  1. That's right, but you said they get everything, and that isn't correct, as it is open to negotiation. Some players will retire with a certain % of their contract, rather than having to train and then play in a lower level. They then can earn more, by playing in another competition if they wish to.
  2. The dusty wine will fit in beautifully at the dusty Manor.
  3. That's not correct. Players can retire and agree on a lesser sum, for not having to do all the training/playing and that agreed amount can then be brought forward to free up space for the following season. They don't have to be paid in full.
  4. Is that a maybe?
  5. Would nearly take him just to keep JVR happy. He would be there at our 2nd round pick ( 31) you would think.
  6. Roses are Red. Violets are Blue. I just heard, We're into you know who. or Watching the Semi, Made me so sick, I'll really perk up, With the number 4 pick.
  7. Hang on, what about the greatest thread ever on DL, the No T$ No BS thread.
  8. You sound like Keka, ( Sam Kekovich ), he of the omnipresent thesaurus.
  9. Pretty sure that would be right.
  10. Whatever, I am happy for people to keep posting rumours, as long as they are just not made up. I am reduced to reading DL trades/drafts etc, as my footy team is out of the finals.
  11. Ralphy refers to Tim Lamb as the best List Manager in the business. That's a pretty good compliment. I think we can accept that Tim and JT know what state the list is at, who needs to be coaxed into moving on and what we need going forward. Like others, I have complete faith in them.
  12. How many casks? Do you still have your collar?
  13. It's funny how the narratives go. Landsberger saying Grundy will go cheaply, because he was not in our semi final 23, yet for JJ a premiership player, who was in the semi final 23, they will say he is worth nothing as compo. Then they are pushing a McKay compo pick 2, for the Roos, for a guy who is a perennially injured, ordinary player, who I believe has some of the worst contest stats in the AFL. The media clearly run the narratives, but luckily not the actual situations.
  14. You should hope Tony Sheahan was right, he said 11. Maybe more to the deal, but getting 11 would be sensational for us. It is sounding like a deal that was done a while ago, as Sheahan suggested.
  15. And then usually the receiving club has to pay an increased price for the trade.
  16. Good luck Adem.
  17. Well done James. Good luck in the next stage of your footy career.
  18. Be careful its not a serial killer, who is just trying to lure you home and steal your collar.
  19. Gee, it seems like only a year ago we............
  20. Even when they do the time it is 2 hours out.
  21. Hawks letting Grainger_ Barass go and now Koschitzke want out. Didn't take the Tigers long to fill the Reiwoldt spot.
  22. Or the new Coach is the one who dumped you a year earlier and wouldn't play you.
  23. Plenty of casks I hope. Should I send the horse and cart to ferry you home to the manor, when the casks are empty?
