  1. Interesting as to who is the Coach of GWS. Phil Davis said he will get back when Leon picks him in the side.
  2. Because they aren't being considered for a PP.
  3. I 'll tell you and this is from a Carlton Board member.Judd was signed to Carlton mid year and he then went through a ruse of naming three other clubs that he would look at and consider. They were never considered at all. He did this so as to throw the Weagles off the idea that he was nobbled by Carlton mid year, while still playing for them. This may have led them to refuse to deal with Carlton. Judd got to know Richard Pratt very well before becoming a Blue. The lie was publicly exposed when after looking at the Pies' Lexus centre, Judd said he preferred Carlton because of their facilities. At that stage they were worse than the Junction oval. Judd lied to every AFL fan and the media, to cover his Carlton deal.
  4. Look who it was written by. You are right though, it is a terrible article.
  5. It just staggers me that the person we lost to GWS, who gets $1.2m per year, is such a poor footballer, yet completely escapes media scrutiny. I am convinced the media have been told to lay off him. Our Jack Watts gets hammered from pillar to post by the media, yet he is at this moment a loyal footballer who every club would take, before the other bloke, given the choice. He is also not on Ablett like pay. The GWS player can't kick, is a poor mark and again from what I saw today, is basically scared of getting hurt. When Dahlhaus outmarks you when you have the better position, you need to have a long hard look at yourself. This bloke also missed a sitter when GWS needed him today and his shot never even went close. We are the luckiest club in the AFL to have had him taken from us and then given the chance to get Hogan, Dawes and Barry for the compo. I wouldn't swap Jesse's left sock for him. Enjoy your money fella, you are the luckiest footballer to ever play AFL.
  6. I am sure he would write a nice story about us, if there was something nice to say.
  7. Given what I am looking at, a fortnight is not a long time before change is in order.
  8. Absolutely. He is very proud to have played with us.
  9. Oh those avatars. I often don't notice what you post, as I am distracted.
  10. He is a very funny speaker. Had everyone in stitches.
  11. Going to plan at the moment. I don't want them any lower as their draft picks would improve.
  12. CS seems to have got a lot of people offside.
  13. Barrett said it was something Bucks said that he overheard.
  14. Blond, blue-eyed, aggressive and menacingly fast, Rodney Hogg announced himself with 41 wickets for World Series-depleted Australia against England in 1978-79. The way he regularly beat Geoff Boycott for pace thrilled Australia at a lean time. Injury and a rebel tour to South Africa interrupted, and cricket life was never quite so bounteous again. Nevertheless, Hogg was generally in Australia's first rank. A quirky character, he once had his wife erase the videotape of a soft dismissal while batting in a Test, saying he did not want his son to see him as a coward. Later, he fulfilled a long-held ambition to open a greengrocery.
  15. I have met Jon and he is actually a nice fellow.
  16. Caroline adopted it after Mike used it.
  17. If Roos Coaches us, should we all celebrate with some of those lovely banana lollies?
  18. I promised Demonlanders that when I next saw Mike I would front him, about his comments that " we were a pathetic and disgusting club". Today was the day. I attended the Business of Sport luncheon and after he spoke and admitted that he was a long time MFC member and supporter, I introduced myself to him. He said he remembered me as a Board member and Team Manager of the Dees and also as a lawyer who had acted many times for Dees players. I asked him did he regret calling the MFC "pathetic and disgusting". He denied it and said his main theme was "hopelessness" and that while you could use words such as "pathetic and disgusting" to descibe us on the field, he did not say that about the entire club. He said the headline as usual was by a sub editor and it had caused him grief over the last year or so. I re read his article and the word "hopelessness" does feature. He said he would never describe the club as "pathetic and disgusting" and clearly meant that on our performances. He has cleared it up as far as I am concerned. I accept that and believe we should all do that in my humble opinion. On stage he indicated that we should not lose hope in getting Roos and he said he hopes we do. He feels he could command $1.2- $1.5 million a year but that we would get that back by February. He said Roos would help us get sponsors, members, keep players and get new ones, as well as developing the club's culture and players. He also said that Roos was very familiar with our list and saw it as having a lot of potential, with a few holes needed to be filled. I told Mike I would write this and he was happy about it. The luncheon was well attended and the theme was Kerry Packer's World Series Cricket with Chappelli, Max Walker and Rodney Hogg. They were fantastic.
  19. That is what PJ said.
  20. Byrnes won't play, because someone at the club has finally realised he can't. I hope.
  21. Tell him to talk to Josh Caddy.
  22. Actually now i hope the blues finish 10th, as i am scared the Bombers could lose points and 9th goes into the eight.
