  1. Out injured for weeks.
  2. Because he has poor disposal and we have too much of that already.
  3. If it is, it will be a miraculous get by JT. But seriously, learning the craft, getting plenty of game time, gaining confidence at a lower level and continuing to develop physically is what Kyah needs, to give him his best chance at making it in the AFL.
  4. I think that’s about right, but wouldn’t be surprised if it’s more. Pretty ordinary act.

Don’t celebrate too soon. They have plenty of good young players including 2 good young bigs in Conway and Neale and unlimited farms to entice even more good players.
  6. Goody doesn’t put a new player for us in without announcing it first. On that basis I don’t see Fullarton playing, unless a tall was a late out. I was very impressed with Woey’s cameo against Carlton. He got plenty of it and his disposal was perfect. Hopefully he can get a run at it and become a best 23 player. He is reasonably versatile.

Hawkins was always out as they said earlier. They want him to break the club games record at home next week rather than Darwin and they know the conditions wouldn’t have suited him.
  8. Not in my opinion.

    It doesn't bear thinking about.
  10. I can't see Woey being dropped as the game is in Perth, he has been sub several times and was one of our best when he came on against Carlton. If anything, Chin could need a rest with his knee issues on a possible hard ground. I would even have Woey in ahead of Billings.

You can reply with ,but of course, the MCG is not an oddly shaped ground, out of Melbourne, used exclusively by one club for training and playing games and has used the annual membership fees of thousands of people to provide most of the funding and is the venue of the GF and other finals allowing a bigger maximum attendance of patrons.
  12. That would mean Fullarton is not, as otherwise they would have announced him too.

When I see the word Mikado I think of Gilbert and Sullivan and of course Japan. As the biscuit appears to be called Elite and Chocolate Mikado is the flavour, I wonder what other flavours they come in. Silver Sake. Strawberry Sashimi. Neapolitan NiNgiri. Tangerine Tempura. Lemon Yellow Yakitori. Raspberry Ramen. Nectarine Nasu Dengaku. Uncle's Udon.
  14. Well actually yes. Max could be exhausted mentally and physically with the playing, training, extra commitments as Captain and family with 2 young kids. Instead of him travelling/playing, I would give him a break to be with his family, to refresh and have some footy downtime. I am sure if we can do that a couple of times this year, say against the Roos, we will have more chance of having a fit Max in the finals. Eagles are not strong in the ruck and tbh I don't think that would be a reason for us not winning. The Cats manage multiple players during the season.

Yes that's true. 168 horses died from racing injuries in the last year and that was the highest in many years. It would be great if that number was zero. There were over 19000 races in Australia last year averaging 12 - 14 starters. Lets say 13 by 19000 = 247000 horses raced. That is 1 death in 1470 starters. That is a far lower rate, than horses who die from non related racing injuries, like a paddock incident. Other animals like dogs for example, die from a myriad of causes, even run over by cars in large numbers. Other animals are bred to be food for humans, not really great lives. I would say racehorses are generally treated exceptionally well, compared to some other animals. Unfortunately humans die in sports too. There were 913 deaths in organised sports, with 89% being male In Australia last year. Should we ban all sport and breeding of all animals? PS: Now back to the thread, training grounds.
  16. IMO if its dry BBB and Verrall come in for JVR and Disco. I would ruck Verrall and Petty or even Tom Mac a bit, depending on match ups. Woey to get a full game in front of the family and friends. I would manage Max and freshen him and save him the flight as well. If Salem is fit he is in.

There is nothing wrong with the timelines, as long as people understand they are only an approximate guide.

You obviously don't have false teeth.

That's strange, because I had the "Don't Disturb" sign up.

    Now in multiple artificial flavours.

Behind the grandstand is where the apartments are going. A new grandstand is being built in front of the new longer straight on the Northern side. Not getting into an argument about horse racing, but I can assure you they are among the best cared for animals on earth. A 550 kg horse, hit with a three by one inch piece of flexible soft leather, a few restricted times, on its flank, does not hurt the horse. Most of the time the jockey is waving the whip and not actually using it. If it did hurt the horse, you would see them react, like shying, bucking etc.

Talking of scones has made me think about biscuits, strange isn't it? My favourite biscuit is the Anzac. Just love them. I am sure we will soon here from the tim tam lovers. Wonder if Uncle Bitters is an iced vo vo fan.

Verrall is ok in the ruck, better than Fullarton.

No, its the western side of the racecourse for the apartments. No apartments inside the track, as it would obscure the racing.
  25. That's probably fair enough.
