They may not be the unbeatable juggernaut we all feared. A few are at the end or close to it like Stevie, Deledio, Griffin, Shaw and Mummy and they won't get the bucket full of first round picks again. They are now what they are just like every other team. They should have made a GF but haven't. They are still talented but lack some real mental toughness.

If we are a good team Watts is the icing on the cake. He doesn't need to be the flour or the eggs etc. He is the best finisher in the side. We need that. Who would you rather shooting for goal than Watts, in our side. I agree on keeping him as we will be better off with him when we are a good side, than having another mid draft pick that may get us another player that can't do what he already can. He was not to blame for the last round and people need to look at who was. For starters look at Garletts non efforts, Tysons 6 turnovers in the first quarter, several one arm tackle attempts , Bernies passing, Tom Mac's game etc.

I don't think you can play Bernie and Lewis in the same team, as they are both getting very slow for today's game.

Bugg is not that type. I mean the pacy opportunist type, think Betts, Cameron, Garlett, Cockatoo, Motlop, Cyril, McDonald-Tipungwuti.

If we continue to over use the ball with our poor skill, we will not get consistent good performances. That is why we are looking at guys like Lever and why I am surprised people on DL want to move out our two best ball users. We need more skillful ball use and some extra pace.

Yet during the regular season there were more close games than I can recall in a season previously.

Don't know if this is realistic, but I would be searching late in the draft for a Garlett type kid. Pace and goal sense and who might develop in the right environment. Not sure that Johnstone is that player from what I have seen, admittedly in my limited viewing of him. JKH is not really that type as well. Tigers have 2 in the reserves and most good sides have a couple.

Played well last night, but noticed he pulled out of two contests and that is something Goodwin doesn't like. Wonder if he is on our radar. He is apparently on good money and that could be a problem.

Interesting thing would be to go through their side and see where Lever is rated. I doubt he would be rated in their top 10. As an example start with the Crouch's, Sloane, Tex, Sauce, Eddie, Laird, Cameron, Talia, Smith,McGovern and there is 11 already. PS. No wonder they are in the GF.

Probably Lang, Motlop or Menzel, though Motlop has had a good finals series. Wonder if the Cats will have a rethink on him. On what I saw of Lang last night I wouldn't be interested, though again a lot of Cats were terrible, none more so than the big bloke at FF.
