  1. Freo must think a lot of him, he is not even listed on their site as a player at the club.
  2. Redleg replied to bandicoot's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
But it was a good point.

Gee I leave for 5 minutes and look what you guys get into .
  4. Not so worried about what Port will say but rather what the Crows will.

Sydney's entire back 6 came through the Rookie list and that comes after the picks in the 60's, just as an example of what you can miss. I would rather give a young kid a chance, than hang on too long to a player who is not best 22, coming off a knee reco and who will likely be gone at the end of the season. Anyway it is not my decision.

    Agree on that.

No worries, no one on a contract to be retired or traded anymore. They serve their contract in full on our list. The list is stuffed.

    Yes retirement.

I am honouring the contract and paying him, just not playing him.

Hang on, he got a 3 year deal he was happy with, he has played 6 games in the first year of that contract and got paid in full, then no games this year as injured and gets paid in full and can still get paid this year whether he plays or not. Then again we could make him do all the work and not play him once, watching him go out as a has been. Unfair, no not at all, actually very fair and even generous for what we have got back. PS. We don't owe anybody a game.

No it is the old one.

Yes you do if the parties agree and if not, you are not putting in as much either with less pressure on lifestyle. All AFL careers end sometime and to get to 30 is pretty good in the AFL.

Not delisted but retiring and receiving his full pay. Colin played 6 games in 16 and obviously none this year due to injury and will be 30 at the start of the next season, coming off a knee reco. If the club is of the opinion that even fully fit he is not in our best 22, then retiring and maybe playing a year or two at Casey, combined with coaching, is not unconscionable at all. It is actually helping him with a future career path.
  14. I doubt that Salem is up for trade, or rather being pushed for trade.

Doesn't need a source as he is speculating. Said he "could" be gettable not he "is" gettable. Here is one from me, Danger and Martin could be gettable.

Trouble is VDB is always injured.

How good is Danger? He made Buddy look like a waste of space. His aggression at the contest and his speed make him nearly unstoppable. He is a match winner. We don't have one.
  18. Must have damaged a septum.
  19. He snores in his sleep.
  20. Neither do I and neither do the club, they are just more pragmatic now. I think if you are seen as reasonable to deal with, clubs are more likely to steer leaving players to you instead of the ars-holes.

    Not quite, but getting closer.
  22. I wonder if something like this would work. Gibbs and Blues pick 21 or whatever Carlton's 2nd pick is to Crows. Pick 10 and MFC Player ( Watts/Kent?) to Blues Lever and 3rd round pick to Dees.
  23. I know for a fact that we don't think like that, as the List Managers know very well that what goes round comes round. The mantra is generally be fair in dealing, though of course at the same time trying to get the best deal, but the key word is "fair". The clubs that constantly try to screw other clubs are well known. I think this deal may get done early in trade week, thereby allowing the Crows to deal for Gibbs and others.
  24. But we haven't made our plans public, Taylor isn't commenting, everyone else is.

    Would suggest after trade week.
