Bernie Vince Retires
Good player, universally liked and gave us his best in over 100 games. He was a great get. Thanks Bernie, enjoy retirement from playing AFL.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
I presume the club would tell him we see a 3 key forward man forward line as a real weapon and ensuring one of you gets the 3rd best opposition defender and we are also looking at playing Jesse further up the ground and even in defence. Cant ever see the club telling him he was Insurance If I was Sam that would make me happy.

So if you were one of them you would ask to be traded.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
One thing we know is that players get injuries. I think all of Tom, Jesse and Sam missed games this year. I would rather have 3 good key forwards than 2. One can always play in another position if need be.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
And there is nothing wrong or stupid in discussing that on a fan forum.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
According to Jon Ralph who spoke to Jesse’s Manager, he is going nowhere. Loves the club and players, just got his licence and happier than he has ever been in Melbourne. Think we can put speculation to bed .

Andrew Gaff
Eagles offered him 6 years at $850k a year and North 7 years at $1.2m a year. If we were in the game, we would have to offer at least 6 years at $1m a year. That would be a $2.4m difference or about $1.2m after Tax give or take.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Best post on the thread.

Andrew Gaff
He is clearly waiting until Eagles season is over. If figures reported/mentioned are true, he would be sacrificing about $3m-$3.5m to play with us. Can't see that happening.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CHARLIE SPARGO
Found that surprising, considering he seemed to have as good a game as a couple of nominees, if not better, on a few occasions.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CHARLIE SPARGO
Petracca is building. Could have had 5-6 on sunday. Panicked after his first miss with that play on kick. It is only a matter of time until he kills a game and absolutely dominates.

Andrew Gaff
If Gaff wants to come home for family reasons, then he would likely take the biggest offer, unless his preferred club, was in the ball park. I am guessing if the 7 year offer at $1.2m by North is on, we may have just given up, as weren't even close. If we were at 6 x $800k for example, total $4.8m and North is $8.4m, he would be mad to turn up $3.6m approx, give or take. This is his big chance to set himself up for life. I wouldn't blame him for taking the money, most would and do. I would guess we would be looking at other players now.

The Ollie Whines Lounge
Hard to do since he just extended his contract.

Have noticed the same myself dazzle. Seems to have gone off the boil a bit.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
That is an outrageous comment and way too dramatic.

Should we trade Max before he shaves his beard off? We could trade Gus before he changes helmets, or Harmes before he gets more tatts.

Andrew Gaff
If it is correct we have dropped off Gaff, then I feel that we have looked elsewhere. List managers are always trying to improve the list and a little success doesn't stop the process, in a way it accelerates it. I think we may have identified a need within our budget and are pursuing it. I would be very surprised if we aren't after someone that the recruiters feel can improve the side. If we aren't, then they aren't doing their job.
