  1. I have watched quite a few games this weekend and noticed that only one side was incapable of creating space in their forward line and then finding a player with the entry.

Things are going well. The Vics have just won the Sheffield Shield for a 32nd time. Winx is still going strong. Bananas are still our favourite fruit. The Dees are on top ( whoops bottom ) of the ladder
  3. Are you conceding against the Swans in round 4?

Petracca is not the problem. He can and will be great when the other 4 forwards excluding Melk pull their weight and we also learn how to deliver the ball into our forward 50. It is hard to win when you have 2 on you, because 4 of your other forwards are so pathetic that their opponents don't bother with them and help out on Trac and Melk. How ANB is preferred to Billy or even Corey is beyond me. This BS about his pressure is just that. Go watch the 3rd quarter last night for example and see him beaten in every contest and then fall over and let his opponent start off another play that ends with a Cats goal. 8 possies at 44% is actually next to useless. That is at best 3 effective possies. When he then gets in the way of other players it just compounds. I did more for the Dees last night by simply going to that sh-thole of a ground and sitting there in the rain.

Me too. Trac had an off season injury and surgery I believe and is therefore needing a bit of time to find his best. If not for his set shot kicking last year, you would say he had a very good season last year. He will get back to that form. ANB on the other hand offers us nothing and in fact often gets in the way and costs us.
  6. We have concentrated on getting contested beasts, to the complete detriment of team balance. We now have no outside run and no small forwards. We have misread our list and our gameplan exacerbates the problem. Bombing it into the forward 50 will now get us beaten most games.
  7. And there is one of the two main problems. We bang it in without any purpose or direction and secondly we don't have the small forwards to take advantage of the inside 50's. On the scoreboard that was an 80 point belting, which on the basis of effort and inside 50's, should have at worst been a 20-30 point loss.
  8. Don’t think so.
  9. Poor skill and no good small forwards again.
  10. Redleg replied to DubDee's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
    Don’t disagree with that.
  11. Redleg replied to DubDee's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
So you also believe he said it deliberately. Fair enough. I just don’t think he attacked a disabled person on TV intentionally.
  12. Redleg replied to DubDee's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
I didn’t put words in your mouth, you posted “whether it was deliberate or not “ and by that I thought you were conceding it might not have been deliberate. However you know what Eddie intended, so what is the point of discussing it with you.
  13. Redleg replied to DubDee's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
Yes you are correct, he wanted to alienate the female viewers and get them to hate him.
  14. Redleg replied to DubDee's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
You have now agreed with me, I think, in that we both agree with what he did, but that it was not deliberate.
  15. Redleg replied to DubDee's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
He obviously didn’t see it. He looked up and saw the coin fly off to the side and cracked a joke. I am sure you appreciate that he is a very experienced broadcaster and he would not deliberately alienate the entire viewing public by ridiculing a disabled person. Seriously? I know you are being facetious.
  16. Redleg replied to DubDee's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
Of course he was referring to the coin thrower, he just wasn’t aware she was disabled.
  17. Redleg replied to DubDee's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
That is ridiculous and I am sure you know it. Are you seriously saying that Eddie deliberately ridiculed a disabled person on a broadcast? He clearly didn’t realise that the coin tossing person was disabled, as his comment would have otherwise been disgusting and he is not that stupid. It wasn’t a slip of the tongue, it was a deliberate comment, making fun of the inability to toss a coin properly and clearly with no knowledge that the person was disabled You obviously dislike Eddie as it shows in your post that he made the comment deliberately about a disabled person.

Well if you think a forward line with Tom Mc and no other key forward is ok then we don’t. Just btw Tom has been terrible so far and hopefully turns it around from tonight.

Don't think we have lost anyone we wanted to keep in the last few years.
  20. Wouldn't hurt. They have a few others as well. That Elliott can play. I would think their mids also kick more goals than ours.
  21. We seem to be devoid of pacy, goal kicking forwards. Garlett is injured and possibly past it. Melksham is good, but more a marking mid size forward. JKH is not really one .ANB is not one. I think it is an area we need to address at the end of the season.
  22. You do know that Corey Wagner player for the Roos?
  23. Frost doesn’t wear 30 on his jumper. Yes he had a bad one last week but he wasn’t alone. He played some good footy last year. I agree with Wise he is probably there to pinch hit in the ruck and play a bit forward.
  24. Redleg replied to dieter's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
On the Couch guys savaged the 3 decisions of off the ball blocks and gut punches. Said each was at least a week. The one consistent thing about this guy's decisions is his inconsistency. He clearly makes it up on the run.
  25. Don’t bother replying just saw he got $2000 fine. So that’s it then. Both Jack Reiwoldt and Max taken out behind the play by heavy blocks to the body and fines apply. Well that’s the rule then. Ok boys heavy blocks to the body of any player you want to hurt.
