Sorry for the delay I just worked out how to do it. Anyway both players are about the same height and you can see Brayshaw lower his height as the punch came. It clearly altered the target. Look where Gaff's fist would have struck if Brayshaw was standing up. If that is an uppercut it has come from a long way down. To me he wanted to hit him in the chest or even lower towards the gut.

Well if you saw it you would know that Gaff tried to hit him in the chest. Not excusing it, but it is probably helpful to state facts. You have like myself probably seen the incident replayed many times and would have seen Brayshaw lower slightly, meaning at the time the punch connected, his head was at the position his chest was just before. Look at Gaff’s arm and fist at contact Given that and Gaffs history and comments after, it is open to believe that Gaff never intended to hit him in the mouth. I don’t think he intended what happened, but it is what it is. He deserved hi penalty.

The beauty of these late bolters means that other guys will slip down the order, giving us a chance to get a player that we may have thought we would not get near to with our picks.
