  1. You do know that Corey Wagner player for the Roos?
  2. Frost doesn’t wear 30 on his jumper. Yes he had a bad one last week but he wasn’t alone. He played some good footy last year. I agree with Wise he is probably there to pinch hit in the ruck and play a bit forward.
  3. On the Couch guys savaged the 3 decisions of off the ball blocks and gut punches. Said each was at least a week. The one consistent thing about this guy's decisions is his inconsistency. He clearly makes it up on the run.
  4. Don’t bother replying just saw he got $2000 fine. So that’s it then. Both Jack Reiwoldt and Max taken out behind the play by heavy blocks to the body and fines apply. Well that’s the rule then. Ok boys heavy blocks to the body of any player you want to hurt.
  5. What did Jonas get for his hit on Max off the ball?
  6. Not sure if that is Jack's problem, but I have had PF as well and it is a nasty injury.
  7. One was off the ball, that is the difference. The AFL said they would take a strong hand against off the ball contact. That is the difference. However you seem to have missed the point of my post and that was that we did nothing in response to this and further verbal taunting from Port’s debutants. We showed we were not interested in standing up for team mates and after that, Gawn went half hearted in the contest for the rest of the game.
  8. Just saw the vision of Gawn being taken out by Jonas off the ball. If his name was May he would get 3 but I will expect a fine from the MRP chook lottery. But back to the real issue. I also saw vision of Port first gamers getting stuck into Max as the teams went off at half time. No response to the Max hit, or verbal, from his team mates. That tells a lot of the story. Port were up to win this game at all costs and every player contributed. Can’t say that about us. Of course poor disposal and decision making and a failure to dominate contested possession contributed to the loss and set up an enormous uncontested possession beating.
  9. All the teams that won and the Blues who lost added pace. The losers were slower and that shows up. Our game is built on contested possession and if we don’t win that other sides take the ball away with their outside players and then you have what happened yesterday, a loss where we look extremely slow. 100 more uncontested possessions is the cream for a drawn or winning contested possession game against us. The opposition have worked us out. Look at the way Max was targeted to affect our winning contested possession. Our game plan B is to do better at A as we have no other plan to fall back on. Therefore we need to recruit skilful runners as I have said for a number of years and in the meantime we have to get back to winning contested possession to stop other teams from spreading and destroying us.
  10. Get convinced. How many times did they take off from the backline and run it forward, without us touching the ball, or getting near the ball carrier? Do agree though there was a lack of system and work rate.
  11. And here is the post I have been waiting to see. For those on here who think pace is not a problem, you are just so wrong. The other thing that hurts us is our decision making. We kick to packs and then don't have a loose man at the outside. We kick to player who have two on them. We kick to players who are behind their man. We still lack disposal skill. Look at Port's kick outs, they find a man, we never did. Given we were out of form and possibly not as fit as others, the arrogance of playing Viney and Jones underdone and maybe injured, was simply breathtaking. We played 2 short today.
  12. When he was standing behind his man.
  13. Thanks Dazzle I feel like I am the only one who sees our lack of pace. They just run it down the ground unchallenged. We are slow and still haven’t fixed up our skill problems. How many times have we kicked it or handballed straight to them.
  14. Depends on the agenda. May is a bad boy and he touched the jaw.
  15. Looks like I was wrong on Paddy Rider not playing.
  16. Wrong.
  17. Break out the banana bread, the footy season is nearly here.
  18. Still think Ryder won’t play, as they have Lycett, Westhoff and Marshall named.
  19. Read my post, the one that Pro Dee responded to.
  20. I think the match tonight will be much closer as the Blues have improved.
  21. I am worried about our pace. Port will inject a lot of it this week. I hope they don't run us off our legs. We will need to win contested ball and not turn it over and apply plenty of pressure if they have it, to force a turnover possibly from the new boys.
  22. But their pace doesn't. They will inject a lot of pace into the side. I hope they don't run us off our feet.
  23. What, now we are discussing fixed horse races?
  24. Round 1 and once again we have a long injury list.
