Jack Viney Restricted Free Agent
Yes Wise, it’s a bit of the each way argument. Wouldn’t like to lose him, but if he wanted to go and we benefited , I would be ok with it. He is harder than anyone at the contest, but unfortunately is not a good user of the footy, very often to our detriment. I also have the feeling he has a smashed up body and that he may be past his best. If he stays great and I hope his style is modified, in that he disposes at first option, instead of trying to break tackles and reach the touch line.

Jack Viney Restricted Free Agent
That allows for people to complain if he stays or goes.

Jack Viney Restricted Free Agent
Agree Mickey, but again hypothetically, if you traded him to Cats after matching contract offer and say they gave you a good outside mid and a first round pick and you got say a good key forward with that pick , what would you say to that?

Jack Viney Restricted Free Agent
It would be sad to see him go, but hypothetically, if we got a first round pick that we used to draft a Max/Ben King forward type, I could live with that.

The Travel Factor
We have had probably the worst run in routine of any club, changing venues and travelling more than any other club in the AFL.

CHANGES: Rd 17 vs GWS
There is another bloke who generally plays when we lose.

THE RUN HOME 2020
But Dogs deserve it playing every game at Metricon and being based a few minutes away?

THE RUN HOME 2020
If we win last two games and Dogs drop one, we make it.

NON MFC: Round 16
Travel, breaks between games, timing ( playing a side that has many injuries ), and venues has been more important this year than most. Having a shortened season has worked against lower finishing teams in 2019 as well .

NON MFC: Round 16
No Nic Nat, Hurn, Cripps and Shuey helped the Dogs, who were at full strength and playing on their 2nd home.

TEAMS: Rd 16 vs Fremantle
Clearly Max is going to play a lot of the game up forward.

Woosha is smiling because everyone knows he is not coaching them, Rutten is.

NON MFC: Round 16
Kossie needs experience, to learn how to play in the AFL.

NON MFC: Round 16
When you want other teams to win for us they generally lose. Yes I know plenty on here will post we should worry about ourselves and win our own games.

NON MFC: Round 16
Gawn, May, Petracca, Oliver, Langdon, Brayshaw, Lever and Salem are probably our best and the 3 newbies all look good.

NON MFC: Round 16
Can't argue on the second bit but maybe a small argument on the first point.

NON MFC: Round 16
Of course not that it matters, but Port last played a week ago at home, not in Alice Springs, 5 days ago, flying home at 3.00 am and they are at a one day advantage of recovery on their opponent who played 6 days ago. Oh and BTW they are better than us, quicker than us and also better coached, not that that should matter either.

Inability to kick in the wind
I think it was Lever who short passed a ball to someone and kicked it high allowing a player to run from a distance behind him and jump up to out mark him. It was a simple basic pass. It was not only poor skill but just dumb. Worst part of it is that is a typical part of our game, we are incapable of passing the ball to retain possession. We don't seem to try and remedy it in any way. It goes on year after year. Don't get me started on the handballs to the ankle or to a player with a man right next to him.
