  1. It sets up multiple possible trade scenarios, if Gus seeks a trade to Freo. It could involve the Saints with Hill, Langdon of course, maybe GC and King, who knows, but it would be a multiple club and player deal.
  2. Is that before or after, Bell says they have done a due diligence and changed their mind and don't want him?
  3. Chris Fagan. Todd Viney. Cameron Bruce.
  4. This time we have a player contracted for another 2 years, that we are happy to keep.
  5. Unfortunately we wanted him out more than they wanted him in. Bell played it well. On the other hand I said at the time he was injured and it could be a major problem and it may well be.He went with a suspect navicular and it flared again. They have the capacity to end careers.
  6. Except that Bell is the one likely to be CEO. He is pulling all the strings. Also Gus is contracted for a couple of years. However, if we were to consider letting him go to Freo, what would be the payment? Could a deal be Langdon, plus what they get from Saints for Hill, we then on trade the best pick for another player, say a King from GC. Keep a pick for another player. therefore the deal could be Gus for Langdon, King and another player. Of course it won't happen. Great time of year trade time, as the possibilities of deals are fascinating, far more so than this season has been.
  7. Like every other club.
  8. I doubt it. I think Mahoney would know now.
  9. Not with 3 years left he isn't. The key to this for me is if he has lost the players. If he has, we are in deep trouble. If he hasn't, it can be fixed.
  10. Close mate of Roos. Dockers Board obviously love Bell.
  11. Gotta love the grapes.
  12. A love of the game. It has now turned to disinterest.
  13. First year in ages I have absolutely no interest in the Finals.
  14. Maybe not. Might bring his best mate across to work in List Management and other areas, while he is an Assistant Coach. Then again he may go off to his Winery and do some Media as well.
  15. Roughead has already stated that he would like to work in List Management and apparently the Dees are prepared to involve him in that area with other areas obviously to be looked at. He would learn the role of List Management probably working under our current List Manager. IMO it would all depend on whether Lewis is involved with us next year as an Assistant Coach. He has good friends at other clubs, but staying in Melbourne and at a club with his best mate and learning the area he wants to be involved in, would IMO see him with us.
  16. Close the thread he is going nowhere. North would disintegrate if he left.
  17. Is Moorabbin part of Melbourne?
  18. They like the Hawks are into everyone.
  19. I am leaning towards King, if we could get him which I doubt, as it would basically solve the key forward area with Tom.Mac, Weid and Petty and then Trac, Melk and Fritter as the mid size forwards. That would mean we could concentrate on getting pace and small goal kicking forwards, with our other draft picks and trades. A deal for Langdon would help the pace off the back flank and we could really concentrate on trading/drafting outside run and a couple of young Jeffy's. IMO Jeffy is gone and Jetta is slow and nearly gone.
  20. Even with approval, if we ever get it somewhere, it is going to take another year or two to get it done.
  21. Well someone will have to go to Tasmania to play for us, or at least make an appearance during the game.
  22. Nearly over.
  23. It is now discretionary and we were refused PP's many times when we deserved them. They have more top 10 picks than any club on their list and many young players ready to blossom. We didn't have past deals where future picks traded are being affected. Our last pick 1 was just taken from us by a new franchise run by the AFL.
  24. I will be staggered after his game today, if they don't change their mind and give him another year. It has to be Coniglio that is causing this. Clearing salary cap room.
